[Pawn Game] New Maps Added -- Jun 22, 2009

As requested by the PG map making team, a few new maps have been added to the server. Among these are three deathmatch maps named "Trapped" created by Brandon0104, "TreeTops" created by Shadowreaver and "Frost Bite" created by Watsurface along with two assault maps named "Jungle Heights" created by Cowdude and "Twin Towers" which was collaborated with Shadowreaver and Strikininja.



We'll keep adding more as the map making team requests them. Hope you enjoy the new maps.

Some new maps have just been added to Pawn Tactics thanks to our talented map making team. Included in the mix is another Epic Assault map called Invasion Assault, a very unique map called Jumble and some updates to existing maps such as Vertex and Dead Cross.

Some of the maps require a bit higher of a rank to play in, so you will need to get ranking to join in.

Version 1.03.03

Game Changes:

-The friends and clan members lists both have horizontal scroll bars now
-The main lobby list will now gray out games with no players in them
-The first game with people in it is now selected automatically
-Pressing random will automatically join you into the closest matching game for the randomly selected map/game type

Bug Fixes:

-Fixed a bug that made random join you into the last chosen game instead of picking randomly

[Forums] Clan Section Updates -- Jun 08, 2009

Hey guys, SharpY here. Just wanted to let you know about a small update I'm working on for the forums right now. We're changing the way the clans sections works entirely. First, we decided it was time to split them up between the respective games, the current section was just too cluttered for my liking. Second, we decided that a lot of the current threads getting made in the clan section are just spam threads, or not organized thought out clans, which we don't really need. So, we have decided to moderate every new clan thread that gets made in either section. What this means is that when you post a new thread, it will have to be approved by a moderator before it will be able to be viewed by the public. Thirdly, we have noticed that there's been plenty of spamming and trolling in the current clan section. In order to combat this in the new sections I'm a assigning a usergroup specifically to these two sections. They'll have full access to delete posts and make sure spamming isn't happening as much. They'll also more than likely be the people approving of your threads.

Now, since we've created the new sections, we're going to have to get rid of the old section. But that's okay, because it's mainly just deleting spam, and if your post count really takes a hit then I apologize in advance, but you should probably be posting somewhere else anyways.

Since the old section is being deleted, here's a quick note to CLAN LEADERS. IF YOU HAVE AN ACTIVE CLAN THAT HAS A THREAD IN THE OLD SECTION, YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR COPYING ALL OF THE CONTENT OF YOUR FIRST POST, AND POSTING IT IN IT'S APPROPRIATE NEW CLAN SECTION. YOU HAVE UNTIL THIS THURSDAY TO MAKE SURE THIS GETS DONE. IF YOU AREN'T A CLAN LEADER, MAKE SURE YOUR LEADER GETS THIS DONE.

Version 1.03.01

Game Changes:

-Force spawning in clan wars matches has been changed so that you will only be forced to spawn 15 seconds after the timer reaches 0
-Kill, Death and Assist point notifications now include either who you killed or who killed you
-Achievements have been added (Collect them all to get a special prize!)
-Quickplay users have been seperated into games which have a 5000 score maximum limit for regular users
-At the end of every match quickplay users now have an option to save their stats by registering an account

Game Changes:

-Players will now automatically respawn after the countdown reaches 0 in clan wars matches
-Increased the explosive damage versus Heavy armor back up to 50% from 20%
-Damage taken from frag grenades or Mauler M32 grenades through a Guardian's shield has been lowered to 20% from 100%
-The Lancer's gauss rounds now go through enemies and can strike multiple targets (Each hit lowers damage by 25%)

Bug Fixes:

-Fixed a bug that brought players to the clan wars tab after the end of a match
-Fixed a bug that would cause some clan matches to give score multipliers less than 1

Version 1.02.04

Game Changes:

-Changed the font on the score text indicator
-When a clan group is create an invitation will automatically be sent to all online clan members
-A notification that your clan group has been challenged will be sent to all group members now
-You can no longer score objectives if you are the only player in the game
-Clan members will now auto-join their clan rooms instead of one of the lobbys
-Clans match will now receive score multipliers based on the lowest player's score

Bug Fixes:

-Fixed a bug that allowed quickplay users to send private messages
-Fixed a bug that was not displaying users properly that just changed their names
-Fixed a bug that was causing assists to not be given properly

[Pawn Tactics] Score Multipliers Increased -- May 04, 2009

We have decided to increase the score multipliers on all of the rooms to suit the ranking system better. Basically what this means is the higher tier game you play in, the more score you will get. If you are interested in staying at the top of the ranks you will need to play in higher tier games with people of your own skill. So killing quick-play users is no longer a good way to rank up. :)

Version 1.02.03

Game Changes:

-Increased the duration that the radio icon appears above player's heads
-Players who shoot other players only to have them suicide will still get the kill now
-Holding shift will bring up a list of the radio commands
-You now get score for assisting a kill and healing a team mate
-An text indicator will now appear on the screen when you get score

Bug Fixes:

-Completing objectives didn't give you points multiplied by the multipliers - this has been fixed
