If you've been on the forums in the past few days you've probably noticed a new donate button along with a credit count of 0. This is because we have installed a forum modification called vBCredits. Beginning now, you will be able to earn, trade, save and gamble virtual credits.

Now there isn't much use for the credits (yet), but the next patch will be including some new features to make the credits more worthwhile. This system is entirely open, so you can decide on how you want to earn credits. In general, the best way to earn credits is to find your own way to support Pawn. This system may change a lot over the next few days as we tweak everything to get it right.

How to earn credits:

-Activity: Earn 5 credits every day just by logging in.
-Thread views: Every 100 views of your thread earns you another credit.
-Thread replies: Every 10 replies of your thread made by other users earns you another credit.
-Contest winnings: Moderators have the ability to give out credits. You can earn some by participating in official Pawn contests and tournaments.

Special: Members of the usergroups (Pawn Assistants, Tech Team, etc..) are on a payroll of 10 credits per day for their services and support to Pawn.

How to lose credits:

-Infractions: Infractions received will multiply against your credits. You will lose 5 times the infraction points. The more severe the infraction the more severe the credit penalty.
-Reversed credit earnings: Any credits earned can always be reversed by moderators. Spam posts that are deleted will not only deduct the credits you earned, but also remove what you earned from your account. For example: If you make a post and earn 1 credit but then the post is deleted you will lose 2 credits. Spammers be warned.

How to trade credits:

-Donate: To donate credits to another player you can use the donate button located on the player's profile or beside any post they have made.

Note: There is a 5% tax for all donations.

Banking:

-Checking account: Used for transactions and temporary storage of credits. There are no fees associated with moving credits through your checking account.
-Savings account: The savings account is used for long term savings. Every 30 days you receive a 5% interest bonus to your savings account. Maximum storage size of 5000 credits. Transferring credits to and from your savings account invokes a 2% fee. There is also a waiting period of 1 day for deposits into your savings account with a cancellation fee of 5%.

Raffles:

-Purchase a 20 credit ticket to be entered into the weekly raffle. The winner will be selected randomly on the Saturday of every week. You can buy as many tickets as you want.


Keep in mind that moderators can track all trades and earnings. If you try to cheat the system you will be caught and penalized.


**EDIT** I have removed the 200 character bonus credit because of the posts on the map making forum. Map codes are very large.

**EDIT 2** I have lowered the usergroup paycheck rate from 20 to 10. 20 was a bit high.

**EDIT 3** I removed the post and thread awards of 1 credit. They were creating too much spam on the forum. Also, the referral bonus has been removed as well.
