Pawn IRC Network PawnGame and Pawn Tactics both share an IRC Network. IRC stands for Internet Relay Chat - and at it's core, that's what IRC is - a chat. It differs from MSN and AIM though as it's geared towards larger conversations than private, small conversations. However, personal conversations are possible using a private messaging feature. Pawn's IRC server is also home to several games, like Trivia and Uno! Come join all the Moderators, Blank, and other users on IRC now! Those of you who are familiar and comfortable with IRC, the server info is:
Those of you who are new to IRC, or are unsure, keep reading about the different kind of clients: (you need an IRC client to connec to an IRC server) mIRC (requires download) mIRC is the IRC client that is recommended by long time IRC users. Many first time users are intimidtated by what they see as 'complicated', but it really isn't. There is also a nice guide to help set up and configure mIRC by Firstmate. mIRC, for all you Tech Savvy users out there, has a built in scripting engine, and is highly configurable.
ChatZilla (requires download + FIREFOX users only) ChatZilla is an IRC Client that can be added directly to Firefox using their extensive Add-Ons database. ChatZilla is preferred by those who don't 'get' mIRC, or are just not all that comfortable with it.
Pawn's IRC Applet (requires NO download) Pawn's IRC applet, while not favored by long time IRC users, gets the job done, and requires no set-up/configuration. You click a link, type in your name, and then you connect directly to Pawn's IRC server. No work on your part needed. Link: http://www.pawngame.com/irc/ We hope to see you soon! I'll be honest, it was inconvenient for me when I was a mod using it. The learning curve of it is very slow.
I probably knew about 3 commands on it, out of all of its possible uses. Btw, hey TF ![]()

Hi Ace2cool.
and, this is a different server then you know. Commands are easier and better and offer more for users. (you know how to use mIRC come try it) Wolfhowlz: Not true, you can use mIRC clients from websites to connect. I will try to find one. |
