ill make it short
i has a mobo with a 128mb integrated card
if i plugged in a card into the free vid card slot, would the video memory stack?
if it does link me to a decent 128mb vid card, preferable 50 bucks or less if possible
(something from NVIDIA 7 series would be nice)

it is a 21.6 inch with res at max
its not a problem though, it runs fine.
but basically i would be getting 256 mb of vid memory with another 128mb card?

Video cards dont stack.

If you get a new one, and you plug your moniter into it, it will use that one and only that one.

I'll try to find a decent 7600 for you, I'll post here when I find it.

EDIT: I need to know if your computer has agp or pci-e slots.

If you can open up your computer, open it and look at the motherboard in the back. (the big "computer chip")

Look towards the bottom, there should be some slots on the bottom of the motherboard.

if you have a brown slot, you have an agp slot. if not, most likely a pci-e.

Post back here when you figure it out.

Newb the GTS is 10 dollars cheaper.
i took a look, it has 256 instead of the 512 mb the 8600gt has

so what would the 8600 GT be able to run then?

EDIT: whoops double post

Yes, but you'll need to download the 64 bit drivers from the website.

It can "run" everything.

At high settings eh, source games, maybe cod4, it can run bioshock on high.

64 bit vista rocks.

Dont worry about power supply.

Your probably using about 150 of that power supply

Youll be fine.

As long as your not RAIDing 5 hard drives youll be fine.

I don't think so, unless it doesn't work, but then you just get a replacement.

Parents wont let me get it anyways

so this thread wasnt completely useless
