Transform Windows XP/Vista to Windows 7!

EDIT: I can now personally confirm this works as I've successfully installed it myself.

Well, I was browsing Neowin, when I discovered this thread:

It allows you to transform your current XP/Vista theme to the brand new Windows 7 theme!

The links he posted will direct you to his DeviantArt page, and then to his own personal website, all of which are safe. I haven't changed my theme yet, but I plan on doing so soon. And after reading the dozens of comments on his DA page and the thread, it's safe to say it's legit and it woks.

If you make the conversion, feel free to post some screen shots of your desktop.

If you're having trouble, this post should help:

I had that same problem, and it took me a bit to figure it out.

If you're using XP, make sure to follow the instructions on this page exactly and in that order:

Once you do so and you restart your computer and whatnot do the following:

Right Click -> Properties -> Display.

Select a different theme, and then switch back to the Windows 7 theme and click apply. It should work after that.

Why don't they just d/l the beta?

It's still the Beta, which means there will be bugs/glitches and whatnot. This gives you the pretty theme without the expected problems in any Beta software.

All are way better.

I use #1 on my desktop, and #3 on my laptop. #3 also has a bunch of different color schemes.

It's just an aero skin. However, vista does contain components of windows seven, as it born from Longhorn and Blackcomb, the early windows 7, and successor to windows XP, which was cut short for windows vista.
