Well,...
XP = more reliable
Vista = better OS (prone to bugs, glitches, crashes)

I choose XP, it just feels better

Vista draws a mixed reaction from most people - some like it, others don't. However, Windows 7, Microsoft's new OS is due to be released this year - so why bother spending all that money on Vista when a new and improved OS is coming out soon?

Everything that I've read so far about Windows 7 (still in it's first beta) is saying that it absolutely tears Vista and XP apart.

XP professional pawns. Best thing on the market for now. I wouldn't buy Windows 7 until a year after its official release...

Vista confuses me, but I'm more prone to using it now...But XP is best if you're looking in to installing stuff..
Vista is, somewhat more reliable...but XP is the same but in different ways...

Try them both and see what's right for you..

my new pooter came with 64-bit vista. The 64 bit was slightly hard to get used to because i basically had to crack/hack some of my programs to work with it, it works pretty well, seeing as i have 4 GB of ram which is enough to handle it. Vista hasn't had any crashes/errors yet for me so im liking it quite a bit, although the OS uses something like 1.3GB of ram at all times to run, which isnt a problem, because i have another 2.7 GB to use.

Basically, if you have 3 or more GB of ram, vista is goog
less than 3, get XP

By the way if anyone is wondering, 64 bit vista is just vista modified to be compatible with more than 3.3 GB of ram, because on a regular OS it only registers up to 3.3

I choose xp because it is easier to get and it isn't confusing.

I used to have XP.

I switched to Vista.

In my opinion, Vista FTW!

Vista: misleading because it looks like great quality software. It looks very high tech and reliable. Dont let that fool you...It has barely any features, and it more focused on Media (like MAC) instead of things for business, school, and personal uses. On that note it's not even that good for media either.

Examples that its not good for media is:

No pre-loaded picture editing software.
No Quicktime
I think theres a media player, sometimes it doesnt
Crappy organization

Good things:

Great graphics
good RAM
usually a good internal memory
pre- loaded blu-ray player

Now, for XP

XP is a decent mixture of business and media. Good featurees like:

-Preloaded Quicktime
- Microsoft Works <----- extremely handy btw
-netMarket
- BigFix
- Microsoft Money®
-Preloaded Abode®
