I'm thinking of getting Oblivion or Tales of Vesperia (both for 360.) I'm really into roleplaying games, which one should I buy?

oblivion it has a looooong story line and aits one of the most realistic of them all.
1. day time and night time
2. charecter reacts differently in both time frames
3. you can pick pocket
4. people can pick pocket you
5. over 5000 swords
6. over 3000 different armor pieces
7. you can make custom made armor/weapons
8. you can actually aim with a bow or crossbow
9. you buy a horse and it actually lives and dies
10. you can catch an STD lol
11. i can go on an on just buy the game :D

Oblivion gets really lame.

I'd go with the other one.

The way you level in oblivion sucks, because the higher level you are, the better stuff you get, but if you level too fast you can't kill anything.

Quoted for truth. I once had that game and it was a huge arse...

Better go get Fallout 3 and stop thinking about Oblivion,U F4T N3RT K3D!1!

I'd pick Oblivion. I think it took me like 60 hours to get all the achievements. There's enough to do in that game that it'll last like a month.
And when you're done with the game it's fun to massacre cities lol.

I heard in Oblivion that everything levels with you (except humans, animals, and guards.) Doesn't that mean everything else levels with you? And if that's the case, how does it get to the point where you can't kill them? (Except if you have crappy armor.)

@ voma: How can you get an STD?

Because if your only leveling your major skills you aren't getting the skill multipliers that you need from your minor skills.

At level 10 you can max 1 attribute if you play your cards right, most people just power level though, which makes them way less powerful.
Bean, I agree it was a major oversight, but it's way better then most other online games.

Daggerfall FTW.
