DON'T JUMP

Seriously, I play swords all the time (<3) but every time I play some moron tries jumping. Every time they try, I always melee them out, or stick them and run away. This is the easiest way for me to get kills as everybody does it, i'm fine with it personally because I like the shiny beatdown medals I get from noob jumpers =)



Post other halo 3 tips here, to help noobs out. I just got the game and I have a higher skill rating then a person who has like 20 more exp then me. -.-

Oh yeah, we met in a Lone Wolves game. I won all 3 of them with mvp. -,-

Here's a tip: Use the BR as much as can. That weapon can overcome any other weapon (given the correct circumstances) almost like the H1 magnum.

When they try to slice you click B as fast as possible
and keep clicking b it will kill them or try to cancel out and fly through them with RT+X

M1d, not in a sword match, in a sword match EVERYBODY has a sword so you either get stuck or they will take you out before you land. And yes the BR owns, it's my second favourite weapon(if you count plasma grenades as weapons :P), I lolled so hard at my team, it was me and 3 guys playing on one 360, then 4 lieutenants and stuff against me and those 3 noobs, they left halfway in the game and I got mvp by 9 points lmao.

Use nade launcher. Its unbelievable. This noob tryed using that diamond gun and I popped him. Right in the face. If u r stuck in a situation. And a pro is next to you, aim low and fire. That might suicide you and you might die. But it usuall works

Not to turn this into a war or anything, but in my opinion Halo 3 sucks balls compared to cod4. Halo 3 isn't realistic at all, you know it's an easy game because 10 year olds play it, deaths don't mean crap so there's no incentive not to die...it's just not nearly as sophisticated as legitimate war games.
By the way, the community on Halo 3 is part of the reason I hardly ever play it. I don't like it when kids yell into their microphones.

I like the sword, but its only effective in close combat, therefore I would instead use it as a last resort.

Barely anybody uses the mic in halo 3. I've played nonstop practically for like 9 days and never once saw I guy using a mic.

CoD4 sucks too, it's a contest on who shoots first. It might get fun in old school but come on, if it's really all about who is a higher level and can shoot first you KNOW there's something wrong. I used to play all the time, here's a sample game.

Run into fight, landmine, die. Run into fight, grenade and somehow kill 3 people hiding in the same place.. WTF? Get UAV thing and notice a guy underneath me, meet him by the pipe exit and find out he brought 3 guys spawned... same 3 people I owned. Get killed. Meet up with my team. Somehow some guy gets a sniper rifle and kills everybody except me and a prestiege. Meet a guy and shoot first. He has a better gun because he devotes his life to CoD4 so he kills me. Throw grenade. Kill 2 people, shoot one other guy down. Get UAV and find out there are like 2 people behind me. Hear a "tink" die. Spawn. Die due to knife camper. Spawn again, die to same person. Spawn AGAIN, die because I land in a firefight. Spawn again, die because I land on a tripmine. Spawn and find a guy, but it's too late he already aimed at me. Die. Spawn again with a SG, sneak up on a guy and knife him. Martyrdom, i'm dead. Spawn again, a guy throws a grenade. Die.


After awhile the fact you die in 3 hits and all the cover is practically useless gets to you and you realise realism doesn't mean fun.

In halo 3 the same game I could have been actually having fun and not dying every 2 seconds because I'm not level 50 and don't have every good perk and gun.

This game is horrible. Whoever created it was retarded. Their idea was a good idea, "LETS COPY OFF OF OTHER GAMES AND MAKE A LAME FIRST PERSON SHOOTER WITH NO ORIGINALITY WHATSOEVER!", wait, no it isn't! It's JUST ANOTHER FPS.

Gameplay=0/10. First Person Shooters need to be original. This one is just boring. It's WAY too slow paced.
Graphics:3/10. Graphics are OK, but the animations aren't.
Online:-3/10. The community is so bad, I feel sorry for even trying online play. You can't go 5 seconds without people randomly swearing.
Story:1/10. Good plot twist. Thats ALL good in the story.
Characters:Boring. The characters are boring. 0/10 AGAIN.

Overall=1/10. I hate it. This game is horrible.

Halo 2

This is THE only good game in the series. It was original, and figured out how to make a good balance of weapons.
Gameplay:5/10. Pretty average here.
Graphics:5/10. Again, good.
Online:-8/10. Even worse then halo 1.
Story:3/10. This is THE best story i've seen in a halo game.
Characters: The Arbiter pwns. 1/10, because he doesn't get a good back story.
overall:6/10

A complete copy of halo 2, except worse. Why? Cause.
Gameplay: A copy of halo 2, except worse. Instead of adding new features, they slop together a bunch of useless gimmicks and call it "new". 2/10 for total lack of originality.
Graphics:2/10. They're going for realistic here, but... again, lack of originality.
online:-10/10. HORRIBLE ONLINE. This came after GOW, and in GOW, the online is worse. Then GoW fans decide halo is a cool series, so guess what? We have a 90% retarded community!
Story:2/10. Killing off master chief? Not likely. He ends up on a planet, but guess what? MORE RINGS!
Characters: 2/10. More revealed in characters.
3/10.


This is my opinion. Halo is way over rated. It is not that great of a game, it's just over hyped cause the FPS genre wasn't good. With better options like CoD4, and GoW, why bother with Halo? Don't get caught in the hype. There are better games.

Im pointing this out cause i used to be a halo fan boy, and i did start a war with you on cod vs halo. Now you are saying what I said about cod. Whoever shoots first will win. But hey, people like that and CoD has DEFINED the meaning of ranking up. No other game has this system and cod offers high replayability. Halo 3 depends on your liking. You may enjoy this, you may not. But 100,000+ people enjoy it. But 200,000+ enjoy CoD: WaW Its all in your likings, I like both

Assault rifle is only really good for melee and brute shot is better for that, and has better damage...

If you dont know how to use a Battle Rifle, (BR) here are some tips:
Always aim for the head. It's powerful and really gets the job done.
