First off, to anyone that was in SSC, did I not CALL THE MIAMI DOLPHINS WINNING 10 GAMES? I said it in the sports forums there(as far as I can recall) that with that schedule, they could get 10 wins. OGDamus strikes again. :D

But back to the NFL. There were many many shocking stories of teams that no one expected to do a damn thing becoming powerhouses, while the hyped teams in preseason that fell flat on their faces. Which team is the biggest surprise? What team makes you go WTFAIL?

Biggest surprises:
Miami Dolphins - Who would expect the 1-15 team from last season to be the #3 seed in the AFC Playoffs? Me that's who BISHES :D The second that Bill Parcells landed in Miami, I told many of my friends that I guaranteed that the Dolphins would end up with more wins than the Cowboys. I got ridiculed, but who got the last laugh?

Atlanta Falcons - The only team to be ranked BELOW Miami in the preseason 32 rankings. Rookie coach and rookie QB, and they still won 11 games. Beastage.

New England Patriots - Losing Brady made me very hopeful for my Fins to have a shot at the division. I expected a 9 win season at best with a QB that never started since High School.

Baltimore Ravens - Still had a good defense, but I didn't expect much from the team that lost to my Fins last year. They got a huge boost from Flacco, who wasn't even the starter for Week 1. Lucky for Ravens fans that Troy Smith got sick, eh?

WTFAIL Teams:
Dallas Cowboys - Is there any more failure than them? Preseason hype was through the ROOF, everyone expected them to run away with the NFC East, and the NFC in general. Romo is a hack, chocking in December. T.O. the princess can't go one game without a ball thrown his way or he cries to the media. Wade the marshmallow has no clue what to do as a HC.

Cleveland Browns - Boy, they sure fell hard. 10 wins last season, Derek Anderson had a big fat juicy contract all signed. They brought in quite a load of nice free agents to solidify their lines, yet they manage 4 wins? I thought they would build on their success from last season, boy was I wrong.

Green Bay Packers - Well, this season sure answered the question "Should Green Bay have traded Brett Favre?" From the NFC Title game to picking in the top 10 in the draft? I don't think any team fell as hard as the Pack. Poor Rodgers is gonna get eaten alive by the fans if he doesn't do something in 09

Jacksonville Jaguars - They had it all. A great QB, two-headed running attack, a defense that beat on you, and success last season. They went into Heinz Field and beat the Steelers TWICE. Never been done before. They were hyped as a Super Bowl contender in the preseason, but they also fell flat on their face.

The Browns sure did disappoint. 5 games in prime time, and they pull out a 4-12 season. Granted they lost three QB's, but man...

I am so glad the Cowboys chocked, I hate that team with such a passion.

I never expected them to be any good, but I didn't think they'd be THAT bad.
