im doin a mix of stuff in from one guy. he teaches us karate and judo and self defense. it really kool because im the toughest kid there and i even beat up on two kids at once. in my class im only a yellow belt(2nd lowest rank) and most of the rest are greens(i think green is the color after yellow, or orange might be in between)
I practice bok-fu-do at a place in Pleasant Hill. It's known as the "way of the white tiger" and focuses on using the attacker's force against him or her. We don't do much jiu-jitsu, but my friend has a lot of experience with martial arts and he's practicing it at another dojo. He tells me it's mostly composed of joint-based attacks. Joints in the finger, arm, hand, leg, foot, everywhere in the body.
Seems like it'd be difficult to master, but if you could it'd be very useful.
