how do you install GIMP brushes?

Im really used to useing PS... not GIMP... im pretty new to GIMP now... but anyway, i downloaded alot of brushes, and i dunno how to download them... i looked at the ultimante GIMP tut or something like that, but i still cant get them... i unzipped them and such.

Mac or Windows?
On Windows its
Click Computer>HP C:>Program Files>GIMP(Your version)>share>Gimp>(version number)>Brushes.
Extract them and be sure they are in the same folder

For windows. download win.rar
Then download brushes from like DA. Then open file up threw win.rar. Next click extract to desktop
last open them with gimp then just copy-visable then save as brush.

Just do what he said thats what I did to make my
sig look at it if you do ill give you a cookie.

*Cunvulses on floor* its still not working... i downloaded winRAR, and i extracted files to desktop, then when i minimized everything. there was alot of brushes on my screen... in files... i opend them with GIMP, but there not there...
