Ya, I was just fooling around with the default brushes and filters. I just got gimp yesterday so plz don't freak out about this being nubbeh.And i dont know how to properly use layers so im not using renders in my creations. Plz give me advice on layering.

Hmmm it's good your fooling around with some of the stuff.

Just keep at that and you'll get better, tuts and other things help for a while to help you get the basics down, but most tuts give a lot of bad advice :)
