How to connect to Xbox Live.

Ok this is a thread for those who crave for Xbox Live but have no clue how to get on it. So this is how I got my Xbox to work. 1st take out your ethernet cord that came with your Xbox 360. Now go to Start then All Programs then Accessories then Command Prompt. Now type ipconfig /all then your IP Address,Gateway,MAC Address, DNS Servers, etc. Write all of that down. Now if you have a router put the ethernet cord in and put it in your Xbox. If you have a Modem turn the Modem off by taking the plug out, now put the Xbox's ethernet cord in your Xbox 360. Turn on your 360 and go to Network Settings then go to the screen when they ask to put in your DNS. Put the DNS on Manual. Then put the DNS Servers in your Primary and Secondary. Now put the IP Address,Gateway,etc. on Automatic. Now test it you should be able to pass the test. Then create your account and enjoy Xbox Live for FREE FOR 1 MONTH. Yes Xbox Live is free for one month soon as you connect to it. If this does not work. Go to Xbox.com and go to Xbox Live Troubleshoot. That's how you do it.

NOTE: This is how I did mines. There are diffrent ways to connect but my way.

Just get your 360, get your ethernet cord and hook it up to your router boom your connected.

Get 360, Get your grey xbox live cord, Connect one side in the router and the other one in the xbox360. Then your connected. xD SIMPLE!

I did that when I was trying to get on LIVE but it did not work. It kept saying "DNS Failed".

well everyones connection is different but if yours says dns failed follow darkshields steps
