If you have a Mac like me then you'll have to use the Grab utility (which can be hard for capturing split-second screenshots).

Like everyone else said:

1. When you want to take a screenshot, there is a button called "Print Screen" or "Prnt Scrn". Press that button
2. Open up paint or anything else that you can copy and paste onto too. Press "Ctrl" and "P" at the same time and you can view your screenshot.
3. If you do it on paint, you can resize your image and take out parts you don't want and put in parts you do want.
4. Save the file and upload it onto a free image hosting site such as TinyPic or Photobucket.
5. Once uploaded, you will get a code that is used for direct links, image codes, etc. The Image code starts with yourcodehere. Copy and Paste that onto whatever you are going to show. The image codes are generally used for forums etc.

There you have it, hope it helped :D
