A lot of religious people, although usually adults, think that Christian metal music isn't really Christian.

For instance, they think UnderOATH worships the devil simply because they scream in some songs.

Do you think screamo/metal music can be Christian?

Any music could be Christian if you don't swear and you worship God but you see a whole lot of people screaming in Church and they can't except the fact of screming Christain music then they're not think :O.

I dont really like screamo but If its christian I guess, besides its already here and we cant stop it. Though one thing that bugs my parents is that they think it's too secular..... And they dress to secular.... And I can barely understand what it means (except for underoath(they rock)) but when they pigsqueell thats were I draw tha line. SO IT OK!

God created us for several reasons. 2 of those reasons are to worship him and have fun. To all of you who don't think screamo/rock Christian music isn't technically Christian, I would have to agree/disagree with you. I agree partly because some of the "Screamo Christian music" I have listend to is nothing but screaming, crying etc. and really no worship to God in it, therefore not making it Christian because in order to make it Christian you need to be worshiping God. That is why we are called Christians, Christ-ians. We are like Christ himself. So the screamo that does give worship to God is Christian. Your just stuck in your ignorant ways and either won't acknowledge any other way of praising God than what you do at Church or just never knew there was another way to praise God. The point I wanna make is this, be it from rap,country,screamo,death etc. If your praising God, it's Christian. You just have to becarful of what you are listening to and try to understand the lyrics lol. God did not make us all the same. Thats why there is white people, black people, mexicans, asians, short, tall etc. We are all different. Some people love Baptist style worship, other people love screamo Christian music. Teens these days arent pleased with sitting in church and listening to a guy talk all day.


bands like MyChildren MyBride, Protest the Hero, With Blood Comes cleansing, Protest the Hero, and other have Hardcore music but with a meaning behind it.


Ignorant people see it as satanic or stupid.


That is for the following reasons:
-They cannot appreciate music

-They are closed minded


I actually just got back from a recent local show. MCMB was headlining it and I appreciate them for the music. It's extremely good.

The people saying its satanic because of the genre are just semi-extreme christian idiots. Those people that think its satanic are usually the ones that say all rock is Satanic. My dad has a book about it, it talks about rock music being bad because it comes from R & B which comes from black people who came from African where they liked voodoo drumbeats which summom demons(apparently), When actually the beats actually just incite a rhythmic pattern in your brain which releases certain chemicals to make you feel good(something like that).

besides, most bands considered Satanic aren't Satanic ie Death, Megadeth, Judas Priest, Iron Maiden.

But I'm not talking about Christian Screamo, I don't like any types of screamo.


My dad also has a book about getting people to go to church by creating 'buzz'. It talks about a church that used the Beatles and Desperate Housewives to get people to come, and a website called "Mylamesexlife.com."


But, ultimately, I don't care. God doesn't care how he's worshipped, aslong as he's worshipped. Church, screamo, dancing, writing, art, anything coutns.
