How were the beta maps different (gameplay wise) from the newer maps?

Well there was more camping more glicthes and wacker players.. But for being 1st of its time it was great :D

If you want a good example of beta maps go the very last pages of the MMT Forums.

Today's maps have a lot higher standards than back then. Maps that are disgusting today might have been considered good during beta and early release.

I had an amazing post...On the Beta Maps...But the page refreshed...So now you don't get to see it. It was a paragraph the stated the difference...

I was the best map maker in beta....So these were the typicall maps you'd see. I played through all of beta. First screen was early beta. and the 2nd one was around november and up

In beta, map standards were so low. Anyone could make a good map.

Maps were fun back then no matter what they really were.

But now the map standards are high.

And it takes great skill to make a fun and good map.

I can maybe post some of the older beta maps later, I have some of them.

AirShip Fortress will always be good now and then, I love that map :D, and Arena :D.

But New maps>Beta Maps.

Well I wasn't around in beta.

But i've herd they were way more gliches, camp areas, and what ever else.

so true but now we have digdigdig maps most beta maps were mazes to see glitches and yeah arab explained :D :( :( :(
