ok heres the problem, when i plug my pc speakers into the back of my computer nothing happens, i have tried it with more than one type of speaker and neither works. they did work but for some reason they stopped. the speakers work perfectly fine, i use them with my mp3 player. i have tried going to control panel and into the sound bit and it says that there are no speakers, its windows xp by the way.

Go click the speaker icon, and unmute it, that may be the problem, oh, and also, press the volume button on the keyboard, that also may be the problem,
(this happened to me before :D)

Maybe your sound drivers are improperly installed.

Play a sound after you plug them in.

For speaker options click on:
Start, Control Panel then "Sounds and Audio Devices" .
Or "Sounds, Speech, and Audio Devices", then "Sounds and Audio Devices".
Click on Volume tab then click on Advanced button.
Check if the volume is very low or muted - which might be the problem.
You could also check:
on the Audio tab, under Sound Playback, make sure the the correct Driver is selected in drop-down menu.
If this doesn't work, it might be a problem with the software of the speakers (drivers).
Have you used your speakers before (on your computer)? What cable do they use to connect to PC?
