View Full Version : Double-clicking problem

My mouse just started to go crazy again. Sometimes when I click, it double clicks for me when I don't want to. So now when I try to minimize, it minimizes, but comes straight back up. -.-

I tried every bar on the double-clicking speed in the mouse settings, and nothing still works.

This is starting to get on my nerves.

Maybe you have a virus.

</killmachine>

Try getting a new mouse?

My mouse is only a few months old. It couldn't be that bad already, right?

I'm doing a virus scan right now. <_<

is it an optical mouse?

If so,

you might have some dust in the lens.

It may be a defect.

Get a new one and see if it works beter.

And did your virus scan find anything?

If not make sure you do a full system scan.

maybe the double-click speed in settings is screwed up?

should be 2nd one under the button tab

Alvand, if you don't know crap about tech don't post here.

If you mean your mouse is going crazy and like shooting when you shouldn't, put your mouse on the applet(eg Pawngame client) at ALL times, because sometimes in flash if your mouse is off-screen, they won't know when to do anything.

If you mean it's double clicking instead of regular clicking, it's probably a defect in the mouse.

Try checking if there is dust or residue under the clicking button.
Maybe an incorrect cable connection?

Also try viewing the mouse properties:
Go to Start, Control Panel, Click on Mouse. (classic view)
Try looking through the settings there.
Something you might notice there might be the problem.

You could try using the Troubleshoot feature.
Which can be found in Mouse Properties (see above), under the Hardware tab, by clicking Troubleshoot.

ask your cat :

if it eats the mouse, it means it WAS all ok, then it means the problem is in the computer, then go buy a new mouse

if it doesnt eat it, go buy a new mouse
