Ive never gotten a virus from imageshack

And your registry file might be corrupted it always doesnt mean there is a virus with it

Try to run a Full System Scan.

If that does not find anything then there is no virus.

I dont know what to do if that does not work.

If you would read his post it says whenever he runs a scan he gets the BSOD, so that wont work obviously. I believe you may have malware, so if you aren't in the MRT, which is pretty much all of you, cease posting in this thread.

alright. I need you to go download HiJackThis from here (http://www.download.com/Trend-Micro-HijackThis/3000-8022_4-10227353.html). Then when you open it, I want you to click the option that says "Do a system scan and save a logfile". Once you do the scan, it should give you a .txt file to save. save it, and copy and paste the contents here.

@Storm

Have you ever tried out the spy-car thing?

If so it may have glitched and damaged your system.

It did that with my testing system.

When you install the anti-virus programs do you get some kind of error message at the end?

CommonSense

Sometimes when you uninstall program, such as IE which is impossible to uninstall, it ends up taking a vital part of windows with it.

Your best bet is a repair your os with your disks.

HWV
09-14-2008, 05:04 PM
do you have any recent system restore points you can go back to. also, i doubt it, but have you made a registry backup file recently?

Kaspersky
09-14-2008, 09:34 PM
Could you supply me with the BSOD error report? I could try and deduct the problem with that information.

Then you can download ComboFix (http://download.bleepingcomputer.com/sUBs/ComboFix.exe) and scan your computer to try and remove the malware. I am also asking for you to post the logfile you get from ComboFix which is located at C:\ComboFix.txt after the scan to verify if any malware was found/removed.

Warning: During the ComboFix scan, DO NOT interrupt it.

I would also like a fresh HJT log from before and after the scan.

Thanks,
Kaspersky_

This could possibly be a virus, when you scan, you probably wouldn't be able to see it because it might be a rogue virus meaning it hides or disguises. If it truely is a virus, what i'd recomend you do is go to malwarebytes and download their free antisoftware. I believe it's the best anti-virus/detecting/destorying thing out there. One time i got an rogue virus called IE Antivirus (see what i mean rogue?). And it kept infecting my internet, redirecting me all these different sites and opening up internets so i downloaded the malwarebytes program and ran a scanner (took a rough 50 minutes or so), then i clicked to delete them or whatever and BAM. It worked!
