1. A word cannot inflict physical damage, and can only inflict mental damage if you are pathetically childish.
2. Taking offense to a word such as b-----rd for guys, and s--t for girls is just you not liking the person and looking for any way to get him/her in trouble.
3. Who said wang was a bad word?
Where does it become bad?
Who said it was bad?
Who listened to him?
Why should I care?
Why are some words bad in society's eyes that are retarded.
Bi--- means female dog.
That is NOT an insult.
If someone calls you a b---h, and you take offense to it, you need to grow up and leave your little world.
As- means donkey.
It is only an insult by someone calling you a lazy brute.
Not offending in any ways as these days Almsot everyone is lazy.
Who said that words taken out of context is a bad thing?
Like someone saying
"MP3 player"
And a teacher says
"Don't ever say you'll slit someones throat! Go to the office, NOW.
I don't want to hear you threaten anyone again."
See my point?
This is all bullcrap surrounding cuss words.
soon crap will be as bad as f--k in society's eyes.
Except to the people that don't care about anything, but they'll be dead from alcohol poisoning and lung cancer anyways so who gives a rats arse?
Post your thoughts.

Anyone who talks to me outside of Pawn (or sometimes in Pawn lol >_>) knows that I swear.

I completely agree. I don't understand what makes curse words different from any other word, other than that we say they're socially unacceptable. For what reason? I have no idea.
It doesn't look like what the majority of people think about cursing will change anytime soon, so I keep my swears to myself (for the most part) just for the sake of avoiding trouble.

Untrue. 100% of all of my teachers since 7th grade swore at me. They usually don't care for profanity.
As for my opinion on the swearing..
I believe some words should be censored. Some, not all.
For instance qu--r, pr-ck, an-l, lesb--n, and g-y are all words commonly used on tv, news, and in real life.
Smeer the qu--r is a football game, we can't talk about football?
G-ys and lesb--ns are a political topic at the moment. Can't talk about politics?
An-l is a word used in other words, such root can4l. And there's really nothing wrong with science.
Pric-ly pears are a fruit, can't talk about healthy, nutritious meals? ;)
Words like f*** and sh*t should be censored, however. Maybe not bi*ch, maybe so. Idk
But you have to remember that little kids play this game, even if they are supposed to be 13. They shouldn't be exposed to foul language yet.

Swearing in general does not bother me.
You would know I swear alot when Neo and I have out swearing matches. I always win though, so its pointless for him to try.
But swearing on pawn has to be on to continue advertising on CMG because thats a little kids site.

sh--=crap=poop.
It's a chain.
sh-- is generally sued to represent
"Oh, no!"
So, now "oh no" is a cuss word?
Or when it is used as an insult, who uses sh-- as a REAL insult?
Most people say sh-- head as in messing around between friends.
Its a game for 10ish and up. Ya got to keep the filters on

It's bad to say swears.. because it's swears in other people's eyes. Idc really, i only say them when i get really pissed off. And most swear words have real meanings like B**ch and A**. For some reason, people just started calling people that.. why? I don't know. Then they get offended... who cares? Swear words should be use PROPERLY and not like that. So now i ask myself, what does F**k mean? Or any of those without real meanings? :/

My opinion is who cares. I mean, if people think the "curse" words are so bad, then it's bad. If you think "curse" words aren't bad then they aren't.
Main Reason: Your view on CURSE WURDS?
Response: They're bad. Even though I don't care much, I could make a stronger statement that they're bad.
1st reason: If F*** isn't a bad word, then why do people use it. I mean, if you think it's not bad, then why do most people LIKE you feel offended? And even though people still say "sh**" isn't a bad word, then why don't you go to a polive officer and say it to his face? You'd get big trouble, why, because it's bad in America. Would you curse your mom off? If cursing is so good, then why do people EVEN post these threads?
2nd reason: If words like f*** are not bad, and are just words, then what about Rasical words. Words that make fun of blacks, or whites? Most of you would draw lines to stop those words, but not curse words? It's common sense, we're all human, we all have ways of lines, we call others idiot, because it's an "insult" but cursing isn't a insult? Then what does f*** stand for? Sexual term or insult term, it's still used as "idiot" but more stronger, and hurtful.

i dont care about swearing
In french schools, teachers dont even care if we say sh-t
what is considered swearing at our shools is the church words ( like christ), and pron words (f-ck). say that in school and get this shout at your head : WHAT DID YOU JUST SAID?
thats it
i wouldnt dare saying "church words" in front of me mom though...
I say sh-t at all times at my house, ive grown up with that word, i was 3 and i was saying that my parents didnt even care...

Welcome to america?
It became an insult because of the meaning behind it. The comparison of a female dog to a woman is very insulting. The comparison of a man to a little female dog is also very insulting.
Using words like "stupid" is just an average word that is challenging their metal abilities. It's just an average word...
It's all a simple study of Psychology.
Think not about the word itself. Think about the effect of the word towards the human mind.

Of course curse words have a greater effect on the human mind than words like "stupid." That's because we have these strange rules in society that condemn curse words as unacceptable and other words acceptable. Someone who hasn't grown up with these rules is numb to cursing because it's normal.
The question I'm asking isn't how curse words are unacceptable; it's why. It all just seems like a superstition to me.

Lets use the word b___h for my first example.
It's a female dog. Nothing more than a female dog.
But that definition is over 500 years old and you know what they say: If you can get enough people to manipulate a word and use it on a daily basis worldwide, it will be added to the dictionnary.
Well, this word was brought to America and was eventually given a second definition. The second definition is a very insulting word that can be taken very personally to both genders. Especially the female.
All the other bad words are undisputed curse words that cannot even be argued because they have very offensive backgrounds.
Look at F__K. All the definitions are very insulting and have no excuse to be used anywhere.

Do you cuss around at friends casually?
then you are insulting them no matter what, and they should be offended?
No makez sense!
f---k, offensive?
how?
You know where f---k came from?
"what is the origin of the word ****? Originally, this was a quite acceptable word! It was recorded in a dictionary in 1598 (John Florio's A Worlde of Wordes, London: Arnold Hatfield for Edw. Blount). It is remotely derived from the Latin futuere and Old German ficken/fucken meaning 'to strike or penetrate', which had the slang meaning 'to copulate'. Eric Partridge, a famous etymologist, said that the German word was related to the Latin words for "pugilist," "puncture," and "*****." The word, which entered English in the late 15th century, became rarer in print in the 18th century when it came to be regarded as vulgar. It was even banned from the Oxford English Dictionary. In 1960, Grove Press (in the US) won a court case permitting it to print the word legally for the first time in centuries -- in D.H. Lawrence's Lady Chatterley's Lover (written in 1928). One folk etymology, which is incorrect, is that it derives from "[booked] for unlawful carnal knowledge.""
Then evolved into like 30 different words, but f---k was the only one offensive?

Ah, so you are asking why is it a bad word when used it that sense.
That makes more sense.
I see what you are saying. But the words are still completely unnecessary.
They are just ways to show that you put more emphasis on what you are trying to say.
I swear all the time, but i'm at a level of maturity that I know when to limit my language.
I don't understand why it is soo hard for you guys to control your mouths. Sure it makes no sense but hey, they are bad and kids want to grow up clean yknow. Some kids are exposed to them on a daily basis, but it will soon reflect on how they end up becoming.
It all depends on how the parents raise them.
They are just words, but words that are "bad"....so limit it.
Is it really that hard? haha.

There is always a better word to fill in for swear words....Why use em...
Its just a way to show you that you are BIG AND BAD!
P.S. one thing I noticed....
All the forms of the F word that you posted could've been removed that the sentence would've made even better sense.
The only ones you cannot take the F word out is when it is used it ints fully Curse word forms.
It falls in to many categories.
O RLY ENGLIIIKSH TEECHUR

Crude way of using the phrase "had sex with"....Which sounds more mature or sophisticated haha.
Intransitive verb: Shirley F---s

adjective: johns doing all the F---ing work
Johns doing all the work
Adverb: Shirley talks to F---ing much.
Shirley talks too much
Adverb enhancing an adjective: Shirley is F---ing beautiful.
Shirley is beautiful
Noun: I don't give a F---
I don't care.
Haha
There is never a full reason why this word should even be a word at all, wow.
It's very pointless and you've made it clear with those sentences that the F word is never actually NECESSARY.
I guess for you its fun to say.....But some things you have to deal with in life, even if you don't understand to this point.

I believe to not use words around people who take offense to them, and to not use any negative racial terms, like 'wetback' or 'ni--er.' I'm not saying swearing(I swear all the time btw) is bad, its just not polite to curse around someone who finds it offensive. However, if nobody cares what words you use, go ahead and swear. But don't use racial words, we're all people.
And no words are really bad words, just bad ways of using them.
