Most high end graphics cards struggle with crysis.

Any other games you'd like to play besides crysis?

I have a setup that can max cod4 easily.

Tf2. You can do any computer with that pretty much.

Well here's one I put together for you.

The processor is a bit meh but the gpu gets the job done...

I rounded the price to 643 w/o shipping and tax.

If I'm not mistaken that can max cod4, it should have to trouble with tf2 or any other source games as well.

Now if your not interested in building a system, I would go with HP for a new computer.

Tf2. You can do any computer with that pretty much.

My Gateway Mp8709 can't.

Specs:
CPU: Intel Core 2 Duo T7200 @ 2.00 GHz 2 Cores, Mobile.
Memory: 2GB DDR2
HDD: Hitachi 160gb 5400RPM Sata
Video/Graphics Adapter: Intel(R) 945GM Chipset Family, Built in GPU (2 shaders, 400mhz, 8 mb dedicated memory, ability to share max 256mb of total system memory.)

It runs tf2 at 11 fps on lowest settings, with 640x400 resolution and no hdr/aa and billinear texture filtering.
- It is actually about 2 years/1 year old and costed 1200$. Overpriced, only 17" wide. Fell for it because it had an amazing keyboard, but I didn't take a close look at the specs.
-All items do NOT include tax and/or shipping.
-Items are found on Newegg.com. Please put in part/whole of the item.
If its 600$ for just the pc, (no monitor included) You are going to build it though, but building a pc is VERY, VERY simple.

CPU: Intel Core 2 Duo E4700 @ 2.6 GHz 2 Cores, Desktop (140$)
*You still want a damn good processor for all your apps. 2.6 ghz dual core will do.*

Motherboard: Foxconn M7PMX-S LGA 775 NVIDIA GeForce 7100 / nForce 630i HDMI Micro ATX Intel Motherboard 60$
*VERY stripped down to basic parts, this mobo doesn't give many features, but for a 600$ pc, you wont be able to buy many features.*

Memory: Crucial Ballistix 2GB 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 800 (PC2 6400) Desktop Memory
*This is 1 stick of 2gb memory that has damn good timing and only 56$*

HDD (Hard Drive): HITACHI Deskstar P7K500 HDP725025GLA380 (0A35399) 250GB 7200 RPM 8MB Cache SATA 3.0Gb/s Hard Drive 60$
*These are fast and cheap. 250gb is enough/more than you need for games (unlles you have games that take 100gb of space each, but that is very, very unlikely.*

Video Card: PNY VCG88512GXEB-FLB GeForce 8800 GT 512MB 256-bit GDDR3 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP Ready SLI Supported Video Card
*Although you cant sli 2 of these (scan line interleaved/scalable link interface) because you don't have a good motherboard, 1 of these is much more than enough for tf2.* 111$

Case: NZXT Tempest 110$
*Still remains to be my 2nd favorite case of all time. It has a side view panel, and more than enough space for all the hardware you are putting in to it.*

PSU (Power Supply Unit): Sunbeam PSU-HUSH680-US-BL 680W ATX 12V 2.0 Power Supply
*For a bargain of 40$, you get a nice 680 watt PSU*

Total: 577$ (Tax & Shipping not included)
A little under budget, but use the extra money to buy a cheap optical drive and grab an ethernet cable.

EDIT: Hey bean, no offense but your items are overpriced. Go to newegg instead. My setup gives t3h b377a p3rf0rm4nc3 for t3h l000000w3r pw1c3!

Dude...

Your graphics card is integrated.

Thats why you lag.

I run tf2 with almost no lag on a SINGLE CORE 2.8 ghz processor, and a 6200.

Thats a PCI card, the worst kind out there.

Almost no lag? :D we want NO LAG. Did you oc that 6200? because its amazing it can actually run with a single core 2.8

Try a 50$ upgrade for a 9500gt, much better and very cheap.

Integrated r t3h sh1111tz0rz go w/ pcie16x on an actually cardz0rsz!!!!!

If you read my post I said it was a PCI card.

To my knowledge theres no 9 series card that fits into a PCI slot.

And no, my 6200 is a evga version and it doesn't take well to overclocking. I just have a well optimized PC.

I said "Almost" because I notice lag on like 34 person servers.

Anything below around 28 I get 40+ fps all the time.

A 20 person server I get 60+

So I just avoid those huge servers and I can play lag free.
