GO AWAY NOOBS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Sorry, that was to keep people from finding what this thread is actually about.
Go is a board game originated in China, but most people heard about it from Japan. It is a game played in a 19x19 board, where the object is to control the most space. Here is the basic rules.
Black goes first, white goes second. The game revolves around moving the pieces, "Stones", to capture the enemy pieces, to capture a piece you take away it's 'liberties'. Liberties are the surrounding spaces(Not counting diagnol spaces), so to capture a piece you have to surround it. The game is extremely simple to start out, but incredibly complex, sporting thousands of techniques. There is only really 1 rule newbies need to know about, called "Ko". For "Ko", if a stone is placed so that it would recreate the previous turn, it may not be played. If you have played or would like to play this game, please post here. This is also a discussion for the anime/manga "Hikaru No Go".
