Let me tell you something about my freshman english teacher. She was literally the best teacher I've ever had because she was so enthusiastic about her work. She made everyone happy in our class. And you know what? She used to have breast cancer. She had breast cancer TWICE. That means she almost died twice. I would've never known it if she hadn't told us. She was one of the happiest people I've seen in my life.

The point is you can do anything if you have the desire. Don't worry what people think of you. None of their opinions matter. In the end, it's your decisions and your outlook that matters.

I think I should elaborate on what happened a bit.


The topic was serious, I was definitely contemplating suicide, but the poll wasn't. I wasn't going to listen to the results of the poll. However, I didn't expect the results of that poll to be anywhere near where they were. I've seen this type of topic in lots of other places, but I've never seen a place so overwhelmingly support the topic maker killing themmselves. Usually, the majority of, if not all of, the people that respond to the topic will try to talk them out of it. This was not the case here.

Because of that, I'm serioiusly considering leaving here. The most disturbing thing, I think, was not the amount of people that condoned suicide. It is how the moderators treated this issue. Not the fact that they didn't do anything about it, but the fact that they participated in it themselves. This to me shows that the moderators here are extremely irresponsible for allowing the behaviour that took place in this topic to continue, and for participating in it themselves. When I made this topic, I expected a few people to support the suicide. I would have NEVER expected the moderators to join them.

I seriously have never seen this kind of behavior from people outside of 4chan, where every suicide story is a joke anyways. I fortuneately had another friend that I was able to talk through before going through with this, but I want you to know that the kind of heartlessness that I witnessed here last night has disturbed me greatly. I would like to once again reiterate the fact that I have never seen such an insensitive member base on any website.

I would like the moderators and assistants that told me to kill myself, and even gave ways of doing it, to apologize for being so flippant about serious life issues. If they do not appologize for their actions, I will probably end up leaving this site, as I could not stand to be a member of a site that is headed by such immature leaders.

I think I should elaborate on what happened a bit.


The topic was serious, I was definitely contemplating suicide, but the poll wasn't. I wasn't going to listen to the results of the poll. However, I didn't expect the results of that poll to be anywhere near where they were. I've seen this type of topic in lots of other places, but I've never seen a place so overwhelmingly support the topic maker killing themmselves. Usually, the majority of, if not all of, the people that respond to the topic will try to talk them out of it. This was not the case here.

Because of that, I'm serioiusly considering leaving here. The most disturbing thing, I think, was not the amount of people that condoned suicide. It is how the moderators treated this issue. Not the fact that they didn't do anything about it, but the fact that they participated in it themselves. This to me shows that the moderators here are extremely irresponsible for allowing the behaviour that took place in this topic to continue, and for participating in it themselves. When I made this topic, I expected a few people to support the suicide. I would have NEVER expected the moderators to join them.

I seriously have never seen this kind of behavior from people outside of 4chan, where every suicide story is a joke anyways. I fortuneately had another friend that I was able to talk through before going through with this, but I want you to know that the kind of heartlessness that I witnessed here last night has disturbed me greatly. I would like to once again reiterate the fact that I have never seen such an insensitive member base on any website.

I would like the moderators and assistants that told me to kill myself, and even gave ways of doing it, to apologize for being so flippant about serious life issues. If they do not appologize for their actions, I will probably end up leaving this site, as I could not stand to be a member of a site that is headed by such immature leaders.
