It is 360 because they made it 3 times better than XBOX but 60 times worse than PS3.

....I really hate new consoles, they start out so expensive making buff jealous, watching his friends get it, watching them play halo 6 and leaving buff very sad face.

Why announce the production of a console that's coming out in 3 years?

The true reason that the Xbox 360 is called "360" is because Xbox "2" would sound inferior to Playstation "3".. That's the true 100% real reason why 360 is called 360.

It's called the 360 cause the 360 is the revolution angle,

I guess it was made to make nerds go "Golly that's a cool name!".

Ha ha ha. While it's true most of the ps3s greatest titles are for the ps3 and 360, the ps3 is coming up with some amazing exclusives soon.

Meh. Old news, but I really don't care. I love my computer. It surpasses all consoles. Although I have to admit, consoles get all the good stuff when it comes to games.

Is it me, or are the new names for consoles sound SLIGHTLY *cough* sarcastic *uncough* unoriginal?
