I seriously am about to give up google searching for tutorials, PS just seems to be nowhere near GIMPs ownage.
I have spent maybe hours trying to find great tuts on the extreme basics of PS like Mreitz guide to GIMP, but to no reward.

Does anyone know of a good guide that teachs the BARE basics of PS CS3?
Google searches are getting frustrating...

General GFX, signatures mainly.

And what I mean is like Mreatiz guide, it has a brief explanation of every feature along with everything else a general guide would have.
It would probably be a long guide no one here would want to bother with, just like a complete mazing guide.

Thank you, I actually didn't look on PR at first because I thought it was mainly a rendering forum.

Thats all I ever used it for.

CS2 is different than CS3 though, darn.

I can't even find the smudge tool >.>

You must be seriously RETARDED. Searching up "PhotoShop CS3 tutorials" will get you a HUGE list, and more than half of them are great tuts for beginners.

If anything, it should be hard to find GIMP tuts compared to PS tuts.

CS3 is just a small upgrade from CS2 anyways.

And you must be text-cly challenged, I searched, nothing told me HOW to find what they said to use.
I googled everything, they say "Set ___ to ___" and I'm here going "Ok, where do you do that?"
Please read.
Google searching it for a LONG time.
nothing helped to much except the only link put up in this thread.

this is what I'm talking about, one that has screenies of WHERE to click to find something.

No, you had Ps for a couple months/weeks which gave you a better understanding of graphics. Then you went back to GIMP.

yes, but eventually you will hit a brick wall because GIMP can only get you so far, to high mod, and maybe inter,
but PS is the one that goes to pro :D
