Ok, I decided to put up a debate on this issue.
I don't want to see posts like "lolzor is u screen hop u r a noob and if u do it with an sg u r gey". I'd also like to see reasoning behind your posts and I wouldn't like broken english and leet speak / chatspeak because debates don't go very far with it.
I do not want to see a post that says "It's cheap". Please explain what it is cheap and so on.
Screen Hopping is when one quickly shifts to the next screen and returns fire then quickly returns to the last screen to avoid receiving damage.
Is this strategy broken:
What I'd like to debate is if 'screen hopping' is broken or in other words gamebreaking to the point where the opposing team has to shift strategies drastically to avoid receiving damage i.e. start camping ect.
Is it a viable strategy:
How effective is 'screen hopping'?
Is it counterable:
Are there ways to eliminate the threat a screen hopper poses to a team?
What effects does this strategy have on the game itself?
I'd like to hear your opinions and what you think about it.

Screen popping is a viable tactic, but I don't like it. You're purposely using your lagg and the other person's lagg to your advantage.

Its one thing to type "G2g" or something similar but to type lines of gibberish is just plain childish and really makes people think less of you.
And on the subject of screen hopping, I personal find it extremely annoying. It slows the entire game and the only way to counter it is to have people on both sides shooting.
So I would say the overall effect on pawn is extreme lagg.

I hate it
One of the only good ways to defeat it is to preshoot which is another annoying move
i think screen hopping is nooby, laggy, annoying, and for chicken 's word's

I have to admit that I use every tactic at my disposal. I'm still not quite a "pro" but I've gotten pretty far by changing tactics a lot. I think screen hopping is only a truly viable tactic if your opponent has a one hit kill gun and they are camping. I've had several situations like that.

I think if your low on health/ammo it's a perfectly understandable thing, but if you do it with full health and near full ammo you just plain are scared of the other team killing you.
Screen hopping with sg IS just plain pathetic however, no matter what the circumstances.

Man I hate screen jumping espcially if they are using the sg too. And it is really easy to kill them if they are screen jumping, you just need quick reflexes.

I use it at castle wars almost everyone does.

I hate when people do it, becuase
A. It takes forever for them to get killed
B. Only a 1 hit kill gun will finish them off, IF you hit them in the head at the right time
C. You can only run away to avoid the fire, while they can do it over and over without receiving almost no damage
4. It's a cheap tactic, though I can't say its much of a tactic, more like an exploit

I only hate it when other people do it :D

I only screen jump when I know the other team is camping.
What I hate tho is when you walking into a screen and someone waits right where the screen flicks, then they walk into the screen where you came from, then pops back in to kill you. Its fricken annoying to chase them between screens.

Same here, but when I can I'll do it purposely just to annoy the people depending on the situation. In particular those who say, " These guns aren't noobie, you're just mad because I'm owning you". I do screen jumps, and when they complain I retort, " this is a tactic and totally legitimate".
It makes for good laughs. I can't always do it, but when I can I have a field day.
i think it might work though ive never done it myself ive be hit by a person screen hopping and its a some what good way to avoid damage as long as u know hwat ur enemy is doing though i think to eliminate the threat of a person doing that get 1 team mate on the other screen so when he gets back to that screen your team mate can unlease a turrent of bullets so hes not safe on either screen if your waiting ofr him on th other screen to me the startigy isnt broken not yet anyways
i do think it is a good strategy and it can make the diffrence from winning and losing
and i say it would some what help to have a screen hopper on your team that combined wqith a camper and heavy weponry peron it would almost make an unstobible team and it doesnt mean ur *** it means your just smarter than them to use it and use it well u should.
