As seen here, best played with plenty of time, and not too much life. This is my first try so bear with it.

too many ladders and unbalanced. (not symmetric)

It's not suppposed to be symmetric, it's an assault. It is about having 2 options, one quick but dangerus, one slow but safer. You're probably right about the ladders though.
