Is pawn REALLY fun anymore?

Hi, its me, batdark. I just returned to pawn a few days ago, and noticed a few things had changed. More frequent swearing, more hacking, more dull maps ( No offense to anyone). Its like pawn just is not the holy grail it used to be.... Is pawn REALLY fun anymore? Id like to hear from other people on this subject.:(

It isn't like that anymore Poe. If anything, it's pretty much nothing but beginners and good players who lost their ability to play. That's how I see it anyways, I don't really play, or I at least fool around. I went spraying a MK everywhere outside the screen and I didn't die, if anything I actually won a game that way. Sad indeed.

I think that the only reason there are more hackers and swearers is because there are less mods online because they have to moderate Pawn Tactics too. Solution? Recruit more mods.

The people on Pawngame are all so... hostile.
Someone says "tlak" instead of talk and everyone tells him how dumb he is and that he should quit playing and jump out of a window into a truck that is filled with used syringes of heroine...
I mean i dont know why, but this game attracts "evil" people :s

I've pretty much retired in late November of 2007.

But I still make maps and Chat, as well as use the Forums a lot.

There is always something to do, and with Pawn Tactics around there is even more!

So no, its not boring. But it was a bit funner a long time ago.

Pawn used to be really fun.
Ranking up and all, now that everyone moved to Pawn Tactics, you just see those none-forum folks who never talk. Or at least never talk properly.
I don't want to hang out with some noobs...

Pawngame at this point should start advertising itself.
CMG doesn't seem enough, I barely see members when I log on Pawngame.

Pawn-Tactics in my oppinion should have less people.
Make some sort of limit. 2000 members is about the amount of active Pawngame members. Actually 3000 members play Pawn every day.
About 300 write on the forums every day...

2000 people play Pawn-Tactics...
Those 2000 people came from Pawngame!

Since Pawn-Tactics doesn't have any adverts because it's on beta, it is stealing the amount of members from Pawngame.
Therefore there should be more adverts.

There is no point hiring more mods if there aren't enough members.

I had left pawn for about a good 4 months. I came back, expecting fun after playing my 360, and what'd I end up with? Nothing. It was the EXACT SAME THING. So I decided, hey, why not wait later? I had left and come back a few weeks ago since January and before I was pretty good at mazing. I lurk at the map section and I see Chin, V, and Domino talking about complex things like a Rhyslide to an Inverse Clash moving down to a Ladderless Zec V glitch Slide Jump BLAH BLAH BLAH. It was too confusing, and I pretty much retired.

So, all in all, it did get boring. I missed it when doing a row of tight jumps was hard to do. I miss my rank before I was hit by the rank bug. I miss the friends I had on pawn. I miss when people would think box jumps were impossible. I guess I just miss 2007, when pawn was at its best.


P.S. I probably have to change my sig now...

No, Pawn's very boring now. I can hardly play without freezing anymore, due to my old comp, and a lot of lag Pawn has been receiving.

Even if I had my old comp I most likely would have stopped playing a couple months ago. There's not much to do except kill, die, chat, maybe make a map, repeat. Even the forums are more boring then they once were. Maybe I'm being biased, as I've found some other things that are funner then Pawn at the moment, but I don't care.

Maybe Pawn will get funner in about 6 months, but I doubt it as no major updates have really happened since who knows when imo.

That means either you (or your team) suck really bad. When I used to play I played in close games and blowouts alike. But, I hardly play ladder games anymore. There's no challenge in just owning nubs over and over again.

I'm 3 months rusty and I can join any game and dominate the hell out of them... It's not fun.. =/

Not really. I seen guests hacking and n00b ribbons hacking too. In Dug out, and many more. I wrote and recorded it in one of my threads. Its not really all unhackable. Just 2 days after Blanks 3.37 update it got hacked.:( I honestly dont think its much fun anymore with all the guys messing with you just becuz u get rusty and such and so. Its not fun

Good players are far and few between. That and the recent influx of slowing down on pawn Ladders are pretty stiff already. Customs are also boring for the most part. Not going to sit on a refill and try shooting a person who has 99999999 health, because that isn't my idea of fun.
