I think whenever someone replies to a post, that there should be something to tell everyone who is the reply for. I have replied to someone in a thread that I thought was replying to me but now that I have reread this thread, he wasn't and it was just a waste of time.


For example:

Poster says

New weapon for pawn, mines!!!!!!!!111

Replyer 1: (replied to Poster)

Nah that wouldn't work

Replyer 2: (replied to Poster)

Thats cool

Replyer 3: (replied to replyer 1)

Yes it would work, its cool

Replyer 1: (replied to replyer 3)

I still think it wouldn't work because....


Having something to tell you who is replying to who would make it easier for us to talk about anything.

i don't quite understand what u wrote but my guess by thread title is you want to receive a popup message when you get a reply in a thread you posted, with info on who posted and all...

am i correct?

I mean like on this message that I'm writing right now, there should be something that tells you I'm replying to you like right above next to the title of my reply , it should say "Calmador Replied to LaidBack" so everyone knows that this message I'm writing right now is for Laidback and not for anyone else.


What if people want to write to 2 or more people?

People will realize that this notice will say the reply is for one person and will probably write there message like this (as I have noticed in other forum systems) ...

But what if you want everyone to hear how wrong something the poster said, if you want to say something to a user in private, ok but if your in a discussion about something that would be of interest to everyone in pawn then it should be seen by all, in an orderly fashion. The thing is I've replied to people who werent really replying to me. I still think it would be an improvement.

:\ I generally just quote people like this to let them know I was replying to them. But I suppose having that would be useful and make this Quick Reply useful.

But I dunno if Blank is allowed to change the vB code.
