Hey, lemme start this off by saying that I'm 6'2", 200 lbs, I can bench 180 and if you call me emo, I'll punch you in the mouth...thank you.:)

Anyway, I was just wondering if anyone likes to write or listen to poetry. I love to listen to other poets, and I write some myself. I like beatbox poetry. I recently heard a group called "The Dynamic Duo" who are absolutely amazing poets. So please post here to discuss favorite poets.

Not all poetry is like sensual and stuff man. The Dynamic duo have one called "Life is like Mario Brothers". I'll see if I can find the link.

True dat. That has got to be one of the most analized pieces ever. And I still don't think people have figured it all out. I find that by analizing poetry, It causes a chain effect which leads me to think about other, more deep things.

*hugs* It's okay man. You have a poets heart. To tell the truth. Poets are more masculine than other people. Try it, read a chick poetry one night, and then the next night tell her some cheesy pick-up lines, see which night you get the most action.

Here is proof that poetry can be masculine. This is Sage Francis, one of the best poets ever in my opinion.

BTW, the woman that sings on here is my aunt, hell yeah. (http://youtube.com/watch?v=hiV2stUu5RE)

Click it, you wont regret it.

Oh, what a surprise, Irish is banned again :p

I don't really have a favourite poet, but Flamedruid was pretty good
I stole this off of him:

"I'm going to draw a riddle, I'll make it with a twist, I'll draw it with a raZor blade, I'll draw it on my wrist" - Flamedruid
