God.. I'm having an argument over j90 that paintball is a game, and not a sport.. so what do you think it is?

Paintball is a game. Sport's like basketball, football, and soccer require athletic skill. Paintball only requires that you squeeze a trigger with your index finger, and you have to run everyonce in a while.

LOL, take it easy man. All I said was that paintball isn't a sport. I never said I don't have respect for it.
Just because players may have to run a lot, it doesn't make paintball a sport.

I think most of you know my opinion on what is a sport.
I think paintball is a game.
Paintball is a growing recreational activity, as well a sport. Paintball is becoming more and more recognized nationally as a sport every year. As with all school sports, paintball should be included! There are less popular sports in America, that are played in high school, such as rugby and lacrosse. Why shouldn't paintball be played in school?
Some people may think that paintball violates school rules, so on and so forth. But technically, paintball isn't a firearm. There's actually no such thing as a paintball "gun", only paintball markers. Paintball is much different than most people view it, and after playing it, people may realize that this is a sport very suitable for schools.
The NCPA, or National Collegiate Paintball Association, is a growing group of teams, including college and even high school students. More high schools are accepting paintball as a sport and adding it to their curriculum, as students have requested. It's all about the students! If there is a group of students that are dedicated enough, paintball can be added to the school curriculum without a doubt!
Some schools may question the safety of paintball. There are many rules and regulations to the playing of paintball, and when followed, paintball is much safer than almost all other sports. Paintball is actually one of the safest sports offered at any school. Tennis is actually considered a more dangerous sport than paintball; there are many more injuries, and many more serious injuries at that.
So consider paintball a sport. I don't want to ever hear anyone challenge paintball as to whether or not it's a sport. It requires more dedication, strength, agility, and team work than any other sport I've ever played. So think again.

i think that a sport is an organized (played officially in a league or something) game that requires athleticism or strength.
So technically all sports are games but not all games are sports. Since this makes paintball a sport, it is also a game.

paintball is a sport that requires skills, athleticism, and witts most games require braawn but paintball is a combinationn of all and those who think it is a game have not fully considered ever trying it becuz they are either afraid or in denial about paintball if you were to play a tounament of paintballing you would be exuahusted and drained physically and mentally.....games like football and baseball are good sports i personally played baseball and i feel you get just as tired doing that as playing paintball if paintball is a sport then so if football think about it they are both televised both have teams and both have championships so there!!!!!anyone else agree...yes?...no?

Airsoft is a sport.
Paintballing is a game.
It's a lot less painful and less tactical, with much less realistic guns.
Trust me, once you've been skirmishing you'll never want to play Paintball again.

The guns are ACTUAL models, not stupidly unrealistic guns.
And you think that paintballing is more painful than airsoft?
Most guns can fire 350 FPS (Feet per second) and up to 1000 for rifles.
Tell me that that doesn't hurt.

airsoft is not a sport. airsoft is for people who want to either shoot birds out of trees but don't want to kill them or to be gun collectors but don't like real guns

I'll say this again, running doesn't make anything a sport. Do golfer's run? No, and golf is still considered a sport. Why? Cause, golf, like all sports require skill. With that said...
I'll break down the skills needed to play paintball.
1) Can you sprint for short bursts?
2) Can you point a gun?
3) Can you squeeze a trigger?
4) Can you hide?
5) Can you take a shot?
None of these much require skill. This is why paintballing is not a sport. Don't even bother saying "Paintball involve's tactics." Everythinng involves tactics. Every game, sport, and action you do has tactics.

I will say a sport because Games is like video games, online games, board games, & Tag games. Can't explain well.
