Should MMA be banned from CBS? There was a discussion over it beacause of Kimbo and his fight with the guy with the swollen ear thing....BTW MMA is mixed martial arts...

Nah, I don't think so. MMA is a brutal sport. People get hurt if they didn't want people to see someone get punched in the face then they shouldn't have had it on in the first place, plus, whether it's sad or not, people like to watch people get abused in an organized fight. Americans love violence it's the way we are, so it will bring viewers to the network too.

OFF ToPiC: Yes, I love to watch fights but not because of violence, I take MMA, boxing, kickboxing and other fighting as an art, to actually watch, and see the things they do and endure is amazing, I'd like to see a regular guy off the streets with no practice try to put anybody in an armbar or chokehold as effective and perfect as the pro's do. But that's just me and why i like to watch it, it's ART not BRUTALITY.

I don't watch MMA because I like to see people beat the snot out of each other. Fighting, when organized, is a fine art. MMA fighters are some of the best athletes in the world, and they deserve to be show cased just like all other professional athletes. The people who are against MMA are the same people who blame video games for school shootings and youth violence.

BTW: I've been taking Jiu-Jitsu and it’s a tough discipline to learn. It takes many years to become "decent" in Jiu-Jitsu.

It's on at 10, if people don't want to watch, they don't have to.Like they said, it's art, not just mindless violence. You could see that in how the players had respect for each other.

no. people like violent sports and it has high ratings so it wouldn't get removed unless the ratings fell.
