After 4 hours of crying, I figured Gimp out enough to make these signautes :D

Listing from top to bottom: First, second, third, and fourth. (Order in which they were made.)

Two questions:
Which one do you like the most?
And, any pointers for a newb at gimp?

Well it's alright for new. Best is 1st. Worst is 2nd.

I also got new brushes on the 3rd sig, that's why it's a bit different.
Last two were just rushed, just playing around.

They are actually pretty good.

First one doesn't flow right... render might be put on the left.
The second one, the render is a little bit blurry and have some weird looking spots.
Third one, the render is too bright in my opinion.
And the fourth one just looks weird o_O

Good job on your firsties though.

The second is blurry because I kept scaling, un-scaling, re-scaling...and stuff. lol.

I used Gimp. There's a sticky up top full of awesome tutorials that will help alot.

yeh best is definately number 1. i dont use gimp so cant offer you any advice.srry.

I'd work on blending a bit more.

Very good for firsts/ Try looking at some more tuts, you will get better.

wow ur good for ur first 4 i sucked until i read a tutorial on gimptalk but anyways first is best and the weird little dog in 4th is uber!!!

Anyways kewl man, try to lay off the brushes, I haven't used a custom brush in like 2 months.
