Comp Troubles

Helo...can yal tell me any opinions for my problem..Problem:My computer can hold 3.gmb I know thats alot..but its so slow i mean its takes 14 mins for me to download 1.50 mb..
I use IE..and my connection is Dial-Up earthlink..please help me out..

Get comcast, dial up is worst thing possible.
Firefox downloads faster to.

Ty,but its my mom's comp realy and she said she would change stuff we shes not working which is the day after tomorrow sch. teacher lol has to work longer..Shes a comp. teacher so that helps.

Well like bman said said get a faster ISP, an ISP is Internet Service Provider, Qwest is really cheap and fast too so I would recommend that if your short on cash. Also don't use IE for downloads cause it suks, I have Safari and it does blazing fast downloads :)
