When my Internet didn't work, I made up this story because I was super bored. My aunt (a teacher) said it was pretty good. What do you think?
A Normal Sunday Morning?

I woke up with the sweet smell of fruits and fresh air. As I walked around the USS Arizona from my room, I saw my friend, David Pewl.
“Have a nice night?” I said.
“Psssh, walking around with all the ladies is always nice to have around.” David replied.
I continued my walk to the deck. As I walked, I passed several rooms filled with tired men (last night, we helped out some folks with some chores). When I finally got to the deck, I found other men reading the daily Sunday newspaper already. I found myself one and sat down. I was starting to read the news when all of a sudden, a plane flew by. It had a big red ‘meatball’ as some of us say on its side. We figured it was just the Air Force playing Red vs. Blue again. But then another plane with the exact same meatball sign rushed right pass us. I was starting to have thoughts, but I thought I shouldn’t worry. But then there was an explosion off in the distance and I saw that there was panic in FortIsland.
This was not a game of Red vs. Blue. This was an attack by the Japanese! I started yelling at my comrades.
“It’s the Japs! Let’s get ready for them!” I yelled at the top of my lungs. I yelled so loud that I swear that the whole island could’ve heard me.
I ran around the deck to see if there were any officers that were awake. I found one Ensign standing around and told him.
“We’re under attack! What should we do sir!?” I asked.
“Find a gun and shoot the hell out of those d*mn bast*rds!” the Ensign said.
So I ran to the nearest machine gun and asked some men to help me get it ready. One of them got some ammo and the other acted as a spotter for me. I got some ammo into the gun, cocked it, aimed for the sky, and hoped God would help us in this time of horror. I aimed down the sights and looked for a plane to shoot down. They were all passing by so fast! At first, I just started shooting randomly. But then I noticed how much ammo I had. I only had about 500 rounds. I better use this wisely or I’m going to be out of ammo soon.
It was then I saw the torpedo bombers going in low and slow trying to make a good shot. I started aiming for the bombers that were attacking the neighboring ships. I aimed for one that seemed to be out of the group. I pulled on the trigger and felt the kickback of the gun. Boy did it sure feel good to feel the power. I spent a good deal of time trying to shoot the bomber down. One of the bullets hit the wing and it started to light up on fire. Yes! One kill for me! But then as it got closer to the USS Oklahoma, it did a suicidal crash into the side. It created a big hole in the deck, about the size of an average bathroom. Golly, I sure hoped those guys on the deck were ok. But as I focused more on the other bombers ships, I forgot that there were bombers aiming for our ship too. A big explosion shook me off the gun and I fell over the rails. I fell into what I first thought was water. But then I saw that the water was on fire. This isn’t water I said in my head it’s oil! I started to swim to the nearest patrol boat in sight. There was a gunnery sergeant and a corporal on the boat when I climbed on it. The sergeant told me.
“Get on that gun and shoot those Japs out of the sky!” He said as he was trying to find out how to drive the boat.
I got onto the gun to find out that there was no ammo.
“This thing doesn’t even have any d*mn ammo in it!” I yelled at the sergeant. He looked back at me and said.
“Well don’t just stand there! Grab some men into the boat and help them out then!”
I did the best I can. I grabbed to one man and his skin was so slippery with oil, that I thought it was going to be almost impossible to get him onto the boat. We drove off to help the other ships in trouble. We picked up more wounded soldiers, and then headed back to the USS Arizona. I couldn’t believe my eyes. There was a big gap in the front bow and it started to sink. No! I thought about David. I think he was still on the ship eating breakfast! As I thought about it, a bomb hit the front of the boat, killing the sergeant and some other soldiers. I fell unconscious and fell into the oily water…
To be continued.
Yea, I had to censor (*) the parts that were swears. <.< But almost every good book has at least some swears in it right? :P So, what do you guys think? :D
