So, I've been trying to download some stuff, but I have to get on my mom's login, which has a password. I was wondering if there was any way to get it besides asking her?

...dude if ur mom has a pass on ur computer, it might be best.

And plus, my mom doesn't even use this computer anymore. She uses the one in her room. <.< And it's like one of those new models. :\

Tell her "Hey mom,after you don't use the old comp,can i ATLEAST have the password to download stuffs?" or something like that.

BTW,if she's gonna say "No dear! Downloads has viruses!" then say "But mom! Not all downloads have virues! One of my friends didn't have any anti-virus,but he downloaded some stuffs and he didn't even had any virus in 2 days! Trust me mom!"

I'm sick of parents and their "Anti-virus problem" BS.

if that happens that means only she can download stuff. you would have to get her password for that or download something from her user account. this happens to me i hate it.

ask her to use it for homework and when you get on, delete the password in the control panel. If she doesn't use it then she own't notice LOL. (I used to have overprotective parents as well man)

There's another way in which you just see how she types the password,its hard IMO.

It's a "Set Phrase" in which it means "I just had too many coffee drinks,so i would maybe talk crazy",learn whats a "set Phrase" or i should have putted quotation marks on "Insomnia"?

Oh btw,stop molesting me.

eh you can always at the windows log in screen hit ctrl+alt+del twice then type in administrator for the username and leave the password blank, works on alot of computers since people usually don't secure the admin account.

or download ophcrack live cd, burn the image to a disk.
Pop the disk in drive and reboot, let it do its magic. <<<You may have to go into the bios to make your computer boot from cd before the harddisk if after you reboot it loads up windows, should be something like boot device priority.
should take no more then a minute or two to crack it.

Of course you may have to make the cd on another computer if it wont let you lawl.

go in ur log on. u can change her password from control panel on your name without entering her old one. after u do this delete the pass altogether and say if u dont log on for a certain time it deletes the pass in case u forgot it.

Assuming he has admin privileges yes that would work and he could do that or create a new account, but I'm assuming he doesn't as he is restricted.

- Ask your mother nicely for the password.
- Try using a different browser and then it might work.
- Don't download anything...

You can't load Flash or play Java games (Runescape) if you can't download anything. The variables must be off. Thus go to Internet options > Advanced Tab > Now click Enable Downloads or whatever it will say, that is at Internet Explorer.

Here are some more things you might want to check on Internet explorer to enable downloading:

Internet Options > Privacy Tab > Now set the bar to Medium, Low or Recieve all Cookies.

Internet Options > Content Tab > Mess around with the Parental Controls.
