You can disagree with me, but I think when you boot someone from your chatroom who is being disruptive or obscene , the server should not let them back for a period of time into that room.

Exercise your right to report, that's all you can and should be doing. We have enough mods as it is, and they can do what they need. Sometimes there are worse problems than an idiot yelling and spamming.

I knew the idea of mod control would be dropped since they're arent enough , but at least put some kind of time ban from the chat on the server so they cannot keep coming back.

Ok,first of al,the moderators can read anything written on the game, including chatroom, game room, etc. So don't worry about teh mods :|

I'm not entirely sure, but I believe the system is: kick, kick, ban. on the ban they are blocked from the game for one whole day by their account name. If they return on another account, and evidence shows such an effort is made, they will be watched over, and any further offences will earn them a full day IP banning. Any further attempts to disrupt protocol and rules will result in a complete account blocking, and possibly a permanent IP ban.

Yes, I know that, but right now my main suggestion is to put a timed ban from that chatroom on the server when you boot someone from a chatroom. It does not have to be long, 1-2 minutes are fine. This is provided that the chatroom creator would not abuse this, and would be banned if they did.

One answer, ban abuse. Not all people are good.

As I said, exercise your report button. There are enough mods online most of the day that they should be able to see your distress, and help you. It may be alright for mods to give C mods a ban from channel ability, but some people might end up having too much fun and abusing it.

Broken Glass, I just said that if my idea of a timed ban from a chatroom was used in the server, the chatroom creator would automatically be banned or kicked. Second of all, I really dont think it's worth the hassle in many situations to report someone. And you cannot report someone for being disruptive or plain annoying. The 1-2 minute ban from the chatroom would give them time to think about their actions, or just to discourage them from coming back.

I dont even like the idea of saying timed "ban" since it isnt really a ban, more like " You have been blocked from entering ( insert name of chatroom here) by (insert name of chat creator here) for 2 minutes.

i think its a good idea for private room mods to be able to kick someone out for a period of time

Ok, so now I need to hear some mods' opinions in this thread. And if everyone really agrees that this is a good idea, ill try to talk to blank sometime this week.

This is a great idea. Since it's your room, you should have the right to boot them. But do nothing to affect their game status.

Thanks VDominus, now if only I could see how mods and the admins feel about it.
