defender in soccer, kicked a goal over the goalie's head, straight into the goal, FROM BEHIND THE MIDFIELD LINE!

Mine would be in indoor soccer. Getting slammed into the wall by the opposing team (The ref doesn't do anything) not falling down, kicking the ball out from between the guys legs who had just slammed me into the wall, and running the entire indoor field, only to make a goal right about an inch from the goalie's nuts, right before the buzzer rang.

My team went insane. :)

While on the soccer subject I remember playing when I was like 7. I scored the first goal of our whole season on the last game. We were 0-16 or something lmao... But I was a star ;) we were horrible.

u play indoor soccer too? =) (i play both inddor and outdoor)

i have 2- 1 a funny one and the other a good 1- funny= i accedently kicked the ball at the reffs face so he was dsitracted, and my teammate lob kicked and i litterly slapped it in =P

good1- in outdoor we have fences for the out line so i did a rainbow and it bounced on the fence bounced off the other team and he scored on his own team :O

2001. Future hall of famer Ray Bourqe's 22nd and final season. He waited 22 years to hoist the cup, and the Avs made a miracle run, came back in the finals, and won it in Game 7. Joe Sakic comes out to get the cup, and instead of hoisting it, which he had every right to do, turns and hands it to ray. Ray hoists the cup, and the place goes crazy. I still remember hearing those words to this day. "And after 22 year years, RAYMOND BOURQUE!" Cant say i've watched that once without tears running down my eyes. Just a fairy tale ending.

Best sports moment imo other than the 1980 Miracle on Ice.

Oregon's awesome comeback against Oklahoma :). I think it was the 2006 season I ain't sure. Even though the refs blew it, it was still awesome for UO fans.

I didnt see it, but...

It won't be commemorated in a handsomely bound offer from Sports Illustrated, but the most unforgettable sports moment of the 21st century has to be the 3-point shooting streak Jason McElwain went on for Greece-Athena High School in the Rochester, N.Y. suburbs.

McElwain, the autistic 17-year-old manager of the varsity team, was allowed to suit up for the first time for the team's final regular-season game and inserted by coach Jim Johnson after the team had built a big lead with four minutes left. That lead got bigger when McElwain drained six straight 3-pointers in a shooting display that would have been remarkable at any level by any player. "I was hotter than a pistol," McElwain astutely summarized after his astonishing feat.

In soccer:

the ball was coming from afar and I was close to the goal. I was a little backwards and couldn't kick it straight in time if I tried and wouldn't reach it so I did a backflip and kicked the ball into the goal. I landed on my back and on the ground there were rocks, sticks etc. It hurt, but it was worth it.

Well, the best moment in sports history, is when Kurt Gibson hit that pinch hit, walk-off homerun in the World Series. He came into the game injured, and hit a home run to win the game.

Well, just last friday. where all the hoopers go to play. This dude, a senior out of highschool came in and in about the second game he played, went up for an alley my friend through him and threw it down with two hands, and broke the backboard and absolutely shattered it, the most amazing thing i've ever seen. This guy isn't a Shaquille type either he's 5'8 and I sware on my life that the dude was barely over 180 if that. It was crazy, the glass was like 3 inches thick too. that=AMAZING.

I remember when I was younger and all I ever used to do was eat sleep and aggressive rollerblade. I did a 720 degree spin on a 7foot spine ramp...or when I dropped a 9foot quarterpipe one footed
