The best team on paper is easily the San Diego Chargers, and I'm not just saying that because they are my favorite team. They have amazing depth, and if healthy, can easily win the Super Bowl this year.

Our receiving corps were an issue for parts of last year, but this year, with a full year of Chris Chambers, a healthy Eric Parker, an emerging Vincent Jackson, and a developing Buster Davis we should be set. Not to mention we have the best running back in the league in Ladainian Tomlinson, and one of the best young Corners in Antonio Cromartie.

The Patriots are another year older, and I really question their defense at this point.

It'll be tough to make it in that division with the Colts, but the Jags are a good team with Maurice Jones-Drew and David Gerrard.

It's hard to imagine a team that went 1-15 last year going all the way. I'm sorry, but I just can't do that at this point. The Patriots aren't as good a team as they were last year, but the Dolphins are still no where near as good as they need to be unseat them.

Yeah but in 2009 they will probably get good draft picks this coming year, since they didnt do so well last year :|. In every sport thats what happens everytime. For example, Boston Celtics last years were not that great. This year for some reason, they just happen to have 3 superstars 0_0. All im saying is that they might get really good players next year. Maybe.

Except the Celtics didn't become better through the draft, they traded every player they could get their hands on for Kevin Garnett and Ray Allen. I'm not saying the Dolphins will not be good eventually, just that this year is most likely not their year.

I think the Eagles need to address a few issues before they become an NFC powerhouse again. The major one is finding a good, play maker, wide receiver.

Agreed. They need to get a lot younger on their defense otherwise their age will show soon... Also, the loss of Asante Samuel really hurt their pass coverage.

New England shall FAIL as they did in the superbowl(they are lucky they play in the
GARBAGE AFC East where the only competition for now is Buffalo)

Colts will be the Colts of old if they can stay healthy.

San Diego to me seems to just choke in Play-offs against the veteran teams (twice ousted by New England in two years)

Miami(My team) shall win 5 games D:

Superbowl shall be:
Indianapolis Vs. Dallas

No other team to me seems to match up well with Dallas on paper but NFC is the weaker conference so i could be wrong on this end as Romo is yet to win in the playoffs(0-2). Green Bay wont be as good with Rodgers being first season starting technically, Giants got that bulls-eye on them and play in NFC East which i say is the toughest division besides AFC South(both sent 3 teams to playoffs and lowest team had 8-8 records) Minnesota will be good with Peterson running the ball but Jackson needs to step up this season. Seattle is like New England in the sense they play in a crap conference(NFC West) Tampa Bay wont succeed this season New Orleans shall take em over as NFC South Champs but wont go far in Play-offs.

so in the end...Indianapolis Will Win O:

I agree with you on Dallas representing the NFC in the super bowl, but I disagree with you on the AFC. The Charges were struck by an injury plague during the playoffs. Next year, we'll be healthy (hopefully) and we'll finally win the Super Bowl.

They went 14-2, but I think last year's 11-5 team is even better. We got better recievers and better pass coverage. LT didn't have that record-shatterting season that he had in '06, but he still had a very good year.

I can just feel it.. the Chargers are going to win a championship. They are just too good a team to not win at least one.

I see like 10 patriot fan's threads. Your team went 18-0 and lost it the SUPER BOWL. Because Tom Brady is a choker. New England isn't that great. They will go down in history as the greatest chokers of all time. I am not a Giants fan although I have always been a fan of the Manning Brothers.
Here are my picks:

AFC east: Patriots because that is the worst division in football.
AFC North: Browns but this is a really competitive division Pittsburgh or Cinci could contend too.
AFC South: Colts Best QB in the league plus 3 good-great RB's and a steller recieving core. Jags might contend but I doubt it.
AFC West: Chargers will run away with the division.
Wild Cards: Steelers and the Jaguars.

NFC East:Cowboys. The Giants won the Superbowl but the Cowboys have too much talent.
NFC North: Vikings, they have a improving QB and Adrian Peterson one of the top 3 RB's in the league. Green Bay doesn't have their 80 year old QB anymore.
NFC South:New Orleans They will bounce back this year and run away with their division.
NFC West: Arizona. I can't get excited about any teams in this division. It doesn't matter who wins they won't contend.
Wildcards: New York, Tampa Bay

Playoffs:
AFC 1st Round
Chargers vs Steelers= Chargers
Browns vs Jaguars= Jaguars

Colts vs Chargers= Colts

Tom Brady is not a choker he did win 3 superbowls and has usually performed his best in clutch moments. and this is coming from a dolphin fan and i have a hatred of Brady but have to admit he is skilled.

AFC East is actually the second worst division New England and Buffalo are the top dogs ATM

NFC West is the WORST and i still say seahawks will win the division
Cardinals need to establish their QB as do the 49'ers
Rams need to stop having Injuries they have alot of talent on that team thats going to waste

I would say that everything would eventually come down to the Cowboys going to the Superbowl with either the Chargers or the Colts. Thats really the only way i can see the Super Bowl going. I think that the Chargers would be able to beat the Cowboys and that it would be a real fight between the Colts and Cowboys.

I say this with a deep hatred of Dallas but I really think that it might be their year.

I'm a big Saints fan and the only reason Ithink they won't go to the Super Bowl is because of some problems with defense.

Bears not in playoffs. Receivers are not that good and QB will be a huge problem. The defense is starting to lose it also. I think NFC will go:
1.Dallas
2.New Orleans
3.Green Bay/Minnesota
4.Seattle
5.New York
6.Green Bay/Minnesota
Not sure who will come out on top of NFC North.
AFC:
1.New England
2.Indianapolis
3.San Diego
4.Cleveland
5.Jacksonville
6.Pittsburgh
Wild Card NFC:
6 @ 3=Whoever has homefield as they are division rivals(Green Bay Vs.Minnesota)
5 @ 4=Seattle is one of the toughest places to play but I think Eli will be able to handle the pressure
Wild Card AFC:
6 @ 3=San Diego is just too much for Pittsburgh on the road
5 @ 4=Anderson's First Playoff game will end in misery as Jacksonville runs past them(literally)
Divisional Round NFC:
3 @ 1=Romo gets his first playoff win no matter which North team makes it to them.
5 @ 2=Expect a shootout here. New Orleans will put up more points on the board though
Divisional Round AFC:
3 @ 1=San Diego FINALLY gets past New England after being ousted twice in two years
5 @ 2=Indianapolis just has too much offense for Garrard and the Jags to overcome
NFC Title Game
2 @ 1=Another shoot-out. I am leaning toward Dallas but it can go either way.
AFC Title Game:
3 @ 2=San Diego has had Indy's number as of late but Manning Vs. Rivers..Manning has better receivers.
Super Bowl XLIII(43)
Indianapolis @ Dallas(Raymond James Stadium in Tampa, Florida):
Indianapolis 31 Dallas 21
Manning Family make it 3 for 3 taking Super bowl's 41,42, and now 43.
and that is how i predict it to be O:
