So this is my new map, i looked to PenguinOwns map, and got an great idea, 1x3 sized tower. The backround through windows thing i have used before.
So it remembers PenguinsOwns map, but it certainly isn't it. This is far more open. The ladders are underwater, so they show the backround.
So, rate/hate

Also! You have broken ladders there. Which are a no-no. Too many spawns per team, too many ammo boxes, too much camping, too many ladders >>, Floating spawns = teh lose.

There. Now go look at other maps and fix this one.

Everyone is saying in my maps, that there is too many ladders, but why do you think there is too many ladders, i personally love ladders, you can move fast sideways in the ladders, and you can avoid the bullets by screen hopping in the ladders. And also if they shoot you in the ladders, you can jump to left/right, and if they for example change target, you can still grap the ladders next to the first one, and keep going.

Er... look at some servered maps. Count the ladders.

Read a map guide.

Any pro will just shoot you in the head before you can move. Regardless of how fast Ladders are.

Having ladders right next to each other is also bad... Beause it is. >>

Screen-Hopping = Annoying for some. It lags bad.

Ladders also lag, because they have an action scripted onto them. Such as Climb. Normal tiles are just CF or F. Ladders lag more. So do Spawns, Artifacts, and Ammo Boxes. 'Nough said.

And if everyone is saying "Too many ladders," you should try getting rid of them, and your vast fondness for them.

Following the way of the Penguin is not such a great idea.

And the map is horrible, sorry. But all those ladders make it fail. As well as the spawn placement and refills.

*agrees with puff and mast3r* a downside of ur map is there is no where near enuf ground. and this is not personal penguin, but ur maps arnt exactly the best around

There are still too many ladders in the middle section.
My advice is create some sort of platform there so people can just walk to the center ladder and go up, just whatever you do.. GET RID OF THE LADDERS THAT CREATE A STAIR-ISH LOOK!.

Too open and simple, cut down on the ladders.

And Drop maps are NOT good beginner maps, start of with other maps like 3x2 or something.

You've gotten much better

but no matter how many times you fix your map it wont improve much.

Well, it is awfull. the glass windows are really unneeded. You are the first player I have seen to create a map that is both too open and still does not have enough playing space. Your first map should be a 3by1. Make it symmetrical, play it a few times so it works, then post it. Good Luck. I can not remember who but a great map maker once said "Making a great map doesn't happen in a few hours. It takes days to weeks to really create a good one." Keep that in mind for your next map. Go into editor with an idea.

But this is my first drop map.
I just putted my map Explosion factory into submissions.

Have you read Live's Guide? It could help you out. Do not use so many ladders in the original and it will be easier to take them out l8r.
