View Full Version : PawnBot, too strict?

Many of you may ask why I was banned for 24 hours, well that is because whilst I was in the restroom I left my account in the chat. Then my brother started spamming on this account and when I came back I was kicked and banned. Now I hate spammers as much as the next guy, but I think the PawnBot gives too much of a punishment. I wasn't even able to access to the forum. I think the most should be a kick and/or refraction received, not a ban.

i got kicked for spam one time by the bot i was able to log back on, maybe you had other infraction pts before you got kicked. I actually think it should ban people sooner and major seems right to me.

Well shouldn't there be an appeal system first? Seems unfair to just pick out a user like that and ban them.

Pawnbot gives a major infraction not a ban.
You must have had other infraction points that added up.

if a spammer was simply kicked and not inf'd then they would just come bak and spam again. with inf points adding up and eventually becoming a ban the problem is solved.

We dont appeal server flood bans.
Anyway Pawnbot only gives a major infraction. 5 points. On April 16 you got your first infraction, by pawnbot, major 5 points. 10 pnts=1day ban
Yeah, pawnbot is kinda strict I was telling ppl to stop spamming while having a conversation with someone on chat and it kicked me because I had sent a couple too many messages it happens.
P.S. If you received an infraction how come it doesn't show up on your profile?
Do infractions go away after time? I know they expire but do they like not show up on your profile after 6 months or something. or every time you get banned do they go away. Just curious.

I dont like to log out wen I pee my password is very long (hackers beware)
Ten points is a 1 day ban, as Buff said...
You must have gotten kicked previously because as alot of people are saying: It gives out 5 infraction points, not 10 (ban)...
Kill your sibling! :p

Well at least he helps.
And if you were logged into the Pawngame forums while you got banned, your unable to view them until your ban is over. But if you weren't, then you can view them.
Or just go on a different computer or file.

Pawnbot is there to enforce the rules, it gives you a warning- and you dont follow it- you get your five points =)

Pawnbot only gives out five points-- i believe, so you had to have done it more than once, to get a ban =) so i would have to say its more your fault than it is pawnbots.

I think your first 5 points were from spamming too.
It's not strict, just think ahead next time and log off.
