My Sound Card

Hi guys, my sound card will NOT work. I've tried everthing, from changing the settings to more!! I can't get it to work because there was a virus in my computer and I reinstalled Windows. Everytime I reinstall Windows, the sound card doesn't work. Sometimes it does. Can anybody help me?

Try updating your drivers. your sound card may have a driver that is incompatible and outdated. google search driver updates for more help.

d o you really need sound? Id you do the virus probably destroyed it so try getting a new computer and better anti virus protection.

I am thinking you have a Windows XP. This happened to me, except the Video Card was going bad. I cannot help you because it may be one of tens of problems, I recommend for you to go to Comp. Usa, Best Buy or any store like that for them to check your computer. You might need to get a new one, or a new computer, remember - computers are only good until their warranty expires. Next time post this in the Tech Section because this is related to a technical issue.

Does this only happen with pawn or with everything?

Since you said u re-installed windows,. I believe you have a Resource CD if not, i believe you should have a CD that has all the drivers in it. In this particular CD you'll find your audio/sound driver your gona have to install it b4 your sound card can work.

I'd just buy a new sound card, and while your at it buy a new graphics card too
