Tournaments are important parts of Pawn and involve many players. There are even staff to help you with 'em! Here are 10 good ways to get people to play and have a succesful tournament:
1. Always use good spelling and grammar in a tournament. Users don't want to see "Y0 tourney.ewng4iejg3 come!!111".
2. If your tournament post what time it will be on in different time zones (not just your zone). Here is a good convertor: http://www.timezoneconverter.com/.
3. Make sure to list teams and players that are in your tourney. Make sure you don't forget anyone. Having a team leader is also what you might consider.
4. Filling out a form can be a good idea for users to do. Not just write "I am coming". Here is an example:
Username:
Time Zone:
Leader or User:
Selection of Team:
Other Comments:
5. Remember to have backup players in match, if some players or members are not able to attend.
6. Spread everything out in your thread and make members feel comfortable reading it. Tell what is going to happen and inform them.
7. Select different rules for your tournament like 1337 rules. This might include the arena and weopons you are using.
8. If you choose to have rules have referees, if a user shoots them then that team is disqualified.
9. Before the game make sure to host a chat to tell everyone where they will be playing, have a chat/room password and PM the users so they don't forget.
10. Last, but not least ATTEND YOUR TOURNAMENT!
