Sig & Avatar Guide
this guide is to help explain how to put a sig into your signature and to edit your avatar.
*note* this guide is intended for people new to using forums and/or do not know how to do this.
How to put a sig into your signature & how to change your avatar:
first look for the button that says ‘User CP’.
As shown in the picture below.

click that and you should be redirected here:

now on the left menu under ‘Settings & Options' there are your profile options.
here you can edit your profile info, edit your sig, change your avatar, etc.
right now i'm going to explain how to change your signature and your avatar.
for signature:
click 'edit signature' under ‘Settings & Options'.

you should end up at this screen

what you have to do is paste the location of the image here.
Here is what you have to do to make it show up
as a picture and not a link. so what you do it put the
tag around the link. you place [IMG] in front of the link
and after it. the easy way is to press the IMG button.
then all you do is paste it in the box that pops up and press ok
and it puts the tags on for you.
how do you get the image location?
depends on where you get your sig. Some people will give you the code others won’t.
ex:

you would copy it into your signature and get your sig pic
ex:

however if it is not given to you then you will have to find the code by the following method:
for firefox:
right click the image and click 'properties'

you should get one of these screens:
most will look like this:

if the pic has a link to it
then ignore the link properties
look at image properties

where is says 'location' copy the link. this is the image location link that you need!
you clan also click 'copy image location' it works the same most of the time. it depends though.
if it doesn't work, refer to the above method.
for IE (Internet Explorer) (i have ie6 so idk if ie7 is similar or not, fyi)
right click the image and click 'properties'

where it says address (URL) copy that link. this is the image location link you need!
well that should about cover it for signatures.
for avatars:
Follow the same method to get to your ‘User CP’ as stated at the beginning of this guide. Now on the left click 'edit avatar '

there are two kinds of ways to get avatars
the 1st way is to put in one from another site. copy the image location with the method described above for the signatures. Then paste that into the option #1 area and you will have that as your avatar.
but make sure the dimensions are 100x100 or smaller
you can also upload one from your computer by using option #2.
Just click browse and locate the image file on your computer.
again, make sure the dimensions are 100x100 or smaller
if you try anything larger it will not accept it.
check the properties of the image to see what the dimensions are.
(To check the dimensions right click the pic and click properties.
Ex) width: 842px
Height: 493px )
The below pic would be too big to use as an avatar.
