Here is the problem, A couple of days ago my 360 suddenly stopped playing game discs. It didn't get the rrod, and it wasn't overheated in any kind of way. (I don't play it for long periods of times.)

I tried all the games & dvds I had and no of them worked, but for some reason it only will play one certain dvd.

I don't know what is wrong with it...

Any idea what is wrong with it? (I'm going to send it in to Microsoft in a couple of days.)

Tech Support? That is why they are there. Its their job to help when you need it.

You DVD read lens has malfunctioned. Send it back, nothing you can do.

wat dvd was it? if it was a chick flick, ur 360 might be depressed. Send it back and get a new one? and* i hope u registered it waaaaaaaayyyyyyy before this happened.

if it says anything along the lines of please insert an xbox disc with a white background its ok but it could be the lens if it is ur screwed

When your OWN Xbox 360 tells you to insert the game into an XBOX 360. It is the 360's lame attempt at ironic humor.

i had this before,i just removed the faceplate and cleaned out the dust,and kicked it a few times(not recomneded)
and BLAM!it worked,i was all.."wtf?"

When I insert a game, The bottom of the dashboard will say "reading" then after a few seconds it says "open tray" as if no game is inside the console.

Um...

Tech Support? That is why they are there. Its their job to help when you need it.

I asked them already but they weren't sure what the problem was, So I thought I would ask here.

oh,okay,well,they will fix that,but most likley something will come back broken
i.e. me and my friends have had microsoft break,Xbox LIVE,the color on the screen,the sound,the profiles deleted,
but usuaully they give a month of free xbox live in return

Profiles deleted from the hard drive your not supposed to send with them huh?!?!

Didn't they tell you not to send in the hard drive with the 360?

Besides I don't have one. I just got a memory unit. (No I didn't send it in.)

wait, before you send your 360 back make sure you get some memory device and save all your game saves to it, or else youll lose all of your saves:edit: nvm didn't see the second page.
