View Full Version : brush problems--Gimp

well ive been using gimp for awhile with just the brushes they have when you first download gimp.

now after using these brushes im trying to expirement with different brushes but it will not let me open all the new brushes i have saved on to the gimp>brush folder i window pops up saying its an unrecognized file type.
this is what it looks like:

If anyone could help me out with this it would be appreciated and helpful

If on windows go to:

-->Start
-->My Computer
-->Local Disk
-->Program Files
-->Look for Gimp-2.0 or whatever Version you have
-->Double click on share
-->Double click on gimp
-->Double click on 2.0/Whatever version
-->Double Click on Brushes

-->Go to Desktop<--

-->Open that Zip file that has the Gimp Brushes your want.
-->Open the Zip File and Drag the Brushes you want in the Brushes Folder You Have Already opened.

Meh hope thats helped... and i wrote ALL of that out :).

maybe this is a good thing? =) Try not using any brushes and experiment with that, I personally think it's better.. =P

I only use defaults... o_O
I mostly only due smudging.. so.. yeah, default brushes own. :)

anywho... save the brush as a gbr, not a vbr?
