In this guide i will help you understand how to win assault games. Lets start with the red team.
~Red Team:Attackers~
If you are on the red team you are the attackers. You go after the artifact and shoot at it
until all of its health is gone. The artifacts health is located next t your health bar in the silver circle. The top part of circle is the time.This is how much time you have to get to the artifact. The bottom part is the health of the artifact. Shoot the Artifact until it is at 0 and you win! Now if you are going through the assault map and notice the blue team is bunched in different places and picking off you and your men off as you walk by, try another tactic. Press "l" to talk to your team and devise a strategy. A great strategy to deal with this is too have all of your men group up and CHARGE!! the blue team until you get to the artifact. If you and one other person are left after the attack dont worry. Refill your health and ammo by pressing "e" next to an ammo box and keep going in or you can wait for your team to regroup. If you have a lot of time then you can wait. If you don't, CHARGE!!! BY YOURSELF!! if you get in try and take off as much artifact health as you can. Thus causing over time few charges and fewer times to invade. A tip if you are on the red team during a assault match at June 9 1944, Get into the base where artifact is. You will notice there are boxes you can hide in. If you allow the rest of your team to attack the artifact you can pick off the Blue team as they come in trying to save the artifact and then go in and take off the rest of its health. This should result in a MVP for all the kills and destroying the artifact.
~Now For The Blue Team:~
You objective is to defend the artifact. You are the team to kill the red team before they get to the artifact. You should try and set up different stations for your team. If you have a team of 5 people, try putting about 2 people defending the artifact and 3 spread throughout the map to stop the red team. Now 2 of those 3 should be put by the red spawn point to pick them off as they spawn. This is called Spawn killing. The extra person should be set up a little bit further back from the other two to attempt to stop the reds that have made it through. If needed you should put this extra person by the spawn point to block out the red team. A tip is to set up camping spots by where a ladder is at a landing point where you would come off of a ladder to get them before they can notice you. A tip for Cave of Fire for Blue team is to have one person climb on top of artifact by crouching and jumping atop of it and pick off the reds before they get an easy win. This is good because it would be hard for the red team to get a headshot on you. Another tip is there are many "trap" fallings in this map so use them to your advantage. There is one where you can pick off the red team as they climb up a ladder from their spawn point. Another is on the level of where the red team would come off of another ladder which allows you to get them from behind.
WEAPONS FOR ASSAULT
Good weapons for the Red Team are:
Any type of sub machine guns (smg section in weapon menu)
the 30k/c heavy weapon and Ak47 and other fast fire auto fire guns. (auto section of weapon menu)
Good Weapons for the Blue Team are:
ANY TYPE OF 1 SHOT kill weapons.
Desert Eagle, The L8, MK48,Proton would be a good choice, Colt M4 is another, Both Shotguns, AK47,Kimber Suppressed, USP AUTOMATIC.
