Help on choosing a computer!!!SERIOUS HELP NEEDED!

Ok heres the situation. My best best bestest (lol) friend in the world parents are divorced. (Thats not the problem.) His birthday is Christmas eve and his parents always want to out do one another. So he got a mac from his mom and a brand new windows vista flat screen pc with hd monitor from his dad. Now i've done alot for him. Like last week he was getting jumped and robbed for his bike down the street and i helped fight them off. So anyway he doesn't want to keep both computers. (for some odd reason) and his parents refuse to bring them back to the store. So he said he's gonna giv me one for bday cuz i got him a psp one year (but it was my old one) and so he said i can choose which one. I have a Pc but i heard alot of things are wrong with macs like the games and some other stuff. ?So which should i choose?

Mac=If you wanna try something new or if your are an artist.

Might just be me though.

If you want gaming go for the pc unless poosh can say that mac copies are made for most pc games.

Try to get a Mac or a PC with Windows XP which should be hard to find >.>. If you get a PC with Windows Vista it will suck real bad. Trust me because I have Windows Vista.

yea me too this is the one im using now it is vista im prob gona switch it up and choose the mac prob but my vista is almost exact same except for color his is like red mine is all black and his speakers rock

Um... 1/3 isnt exactly most there man, but other than that it's a correct statement.

I'd take the Mac, just out of courtesy because uh, the PC would be a better choice, so take the worse one. :)

Depends, to me pc is more customizable, but macs are really good.
Id go for mac :D

Well...Macs aren't the "gaming" computers, but they are the most efficient meaning they don't chomp down RAM like a rabid beast like vista, so 1 gig should do you fine, whereas Vista needs 2.Mac also has numerous features that can outdo PCs like time machine, multiple desktops, etc.

If you're an artistic person that does design and what not, go with the Mac because of its efficiency and of course the monitors which are very nice and store everything, meaning no giant towers.

If you like to play games such as CoD4:), Crysis, and any other game to come out, go with the PC because Vista is the only computer that can run DX10 atm and most aren't even compatible with Macs until months later.

Take your pick.

buy alienware, get more memory, buy wireless chargeable keyboard+mouse, and your good to go
if money's not an object anyways...
forget vista, forget mac, go with xp way easier, though vista has a better OS for gaming

Wow. Im not the only one that prefers a Mac over Vista or Windows. :)

Give your friend the Mac and let him give you the Windows.. I think he deserves the Mac..
