Even so, they would need to make new models (Which could take months to years, depending on whether or not they'd include a map editor). They would also need much, much more time and a way to host the game. They're most certainly not going to be sponsored by CMG; they only do small-time games. Even so, they would need a much more powerful server (More RAM, faster processors; possibly overclocked machinery.)

This idea is taking Blank's skill way out of proportion. Just know that this idea will absolutely NEVER happen. He's just a Canadian actionscripter. You people are taking the man's skills way too far.

Also, grenades? Melee weapons? Sticks? Not going to happen. Blank clearly stated back in the Beta suggestions that Grenades and melee weapons of the sorts will NEVER come into pawngame, due to the amount of actionscript checks and balances that need to be placed to create a proper physics engine and mass multipliers.

So, yeah, those are really the most common suggestions that won't happen, no matter what. No Grenades, no melee weapons, no 3D pawngame. Period.

I basically went to say about how Pawn will never become 3D. It has been suggested many, many times before and also denied. The main reason for this is just that Blank101 is just a Canadian actionscripter who does this on his free time; it's not something that consumes his life. Also, making your own 3D game has nothing to do with Actionscript. It uses a certain programming language called C++, which is excrutiatingly hard to learn (I've tried myself). It's like trying to outsmart Chuck Norris; it just doesn't work.

As for "daggers" and melee weapons, grenades, and weapons of the sorts, there is a high probability that they will never come into the game. Blank101 clearly stated back in the beta forum that he will never implement grenades or melee weapons. This is due to the fact that he would need to create a stable, quick, and fluent physics engine which, in actionscript especially, is exorbitantly onerous. This would also include a mass multiplier, which again, is gargantuantly difficult in actionscript. Same goes with the melee weapons, they need their own hitboxes and ways of working.

Overall, the most suggested and most rejected ideas that ever came to pawngame are Melee weapons, 3D pawngame, and grenades. Don't suggest these; they will NEVER happen.

It would take, at the least, 6 months to learn C++ and be able to code with it fluently. And just "Download pawn for free", and everyone be happy? NO! It's not that simple. If Blank is going to make a 3D pawngame, he would need a larger work crew, which costs big cash if he wants anyone to make models and textures for him. And look dude, I didn't mean to offend anyone with "A Canadian actionscripter", I was just stating that he was just a guy doing this on his spare time and didn't fully commit to it.

Also, Pawn will never be 3D. You can image how awesome it'd be all you want, but in the end that'll just make it like a bad-graphic, lower-feature version of most FPS.

Pawn was made in Flash. Flash is alredy somewhat stressed by the regular, 2d, actions required by Pawn. In order to even consider 3D, Pawn would have to be made using another program.

It would have to be created in something completely different than Flash. Sorry guys, not happening.
