Rank Up Alert

I think that a great idea for this website would be, an alert when you rank up, it can come in a few different ways, when you finish a game it says You have made rank 6*, with the picture of the rank. I'm not sure how good of a suggestion that one is because the stats do not seem to update until after you leave pawn, so I have another suggestion. How about, when you log in, a red alert says, You are rank 6*, and then when you log in it would say, CONGRATULATIONS You made Rank 7! I think that would be an awesome idea. If you want to give me a yes or no on if you think this is a good idea, thanks.

I like it! Maybe if blank makes it so that the scores can be updated as soon as possible, then maybe if we rank MID GAME we can see like a level up animation over our heads, like in an RPG game or something lol. But if we get killed enough to lose that rank, there would be another animation that says we got Deranked.

Great idea, I love it. I had forgotten that you could lose points. Maybe the rank up could be accompanied by a nice high noise and a green or blue light above our name, and if we derank then it would be a sound like, duduhhhh and a red light.

It wouldnt work because the server doesnt recognize points till you log out, thats when they are recorded. So you wouldnt know you ranked till the next time you log in.
But nice try on the suggestion

Puffer, What is the point of you saying that people make 40,000 points a day? It is not a legitimate reason for no rank up alert.

If you know that they dont record till you log out, why did you bother putting in the part that says that you get a notice after you finish a game? =|
And you know when you rank up when you log in....when you see that your avatar is different :O

I bothered putting that part in, because it may be fixed in the coming months/years. Yesh I know that we can see that we rank up when our Avatar is different. BUT, it would be much more cooler if we saw that we ranked up, and what rank number we are.(because i always forget what rank I am.) Another good idea would be a side in the corner saying how many points we need to rank up.

Its a good idea and all but i just dont see it being worthy enough to the game of pawn to be made. It had no real benefit :|

Tell me how many n00bs say, how mnay points until i rank up? If a corner of pawngame was updated to tell youhow many points you needed to rank up, then that would eliminate those n00beh questions. In that same corner it could tell you what rank you have, if you derank, a congrats for ranking up, etc.

Well it would be a great idea if the celebration pop-ups were player made. I guess this could be great... ( I voted Yes )

Thanks for the change of heart. But im unsure what you mean by the celebration pop-ups being player made, are you thinking that someone can write a customized celebration pop-up, and then once there are 500 or so, they can be distributed randomly to be people who rank up? ie, Koheran has congratulated you on becoming rank 11 try not to lose it! or DariusPwnsAll has said GOOD JOB on attaining rank 3 try not to give into hacks!

They could be player written and player decorated. We have some experienced GFXers here. We then choose which is the best layout and then which is the best message. We combine the best message with the best layout and it goes into the server. The messages will be totally random.

HonorP00ner says, "Congratulations for ranking up by not killing guests :)".
